The good news - Viru is confident of making it for the tour of England. He had a goodish tour in 2002 (a century and an 80 in the tests) but was ignored by the selectors in 2007 (Jaffer, Dinesh Karthik and Gauti were the openers). The India - England series will be a humdinger (given England's success in the Ashes and comments by various English and Aussie experts, including Ian Chappell, Michael Atherton and Darren Gough, that England is the REAL no.1 - God, one Ashes win and the loud mouths start!). Viru will have a key role to play in the entire series and a fit, rejuvenated Viru is what WE need! He has the poorest test average (just 31) against the English and I am sure he would want to correct that big time.

Congratulation to viru for making comeback for the tour of England .. Hope you Rock in England .. :P :P
Confidence is something that this guy (Veeru) never lacks and it has worked for him throughout his carrier. He is a man who could do the things which is not done by many as far as cricket is concerned and therefor players like Sachin and Dhoni always inspire him to play the way he likes to play and I personally feel that he should never be rested from the team and this kind of things only result players in playing in different way then their natural way and which is not a good thing for a team who wants to stay at the top three ranking spots...
ya.really good and fantastic news...Hope viru blasted with bat in England.....
:P :P
