Israel is handing back ownership of a czarist-era landmark in the heart of Jerusalem to Russia, defusing a long-simmering dispute between the two countries right before Israel's leader visits Moscow.

This is a good gesture. But we do not know what people there aspire. It is also not understandable how an area in Jerusalem could be annexed to Russia. If this part of Jerusalem is far away from Russia, the return of area to Russia will be return to Tsarist colonialism.
