    All I can say to this is that staying on top of the leaderboard is important for the members now, therefore scoring points by posting more and more threads seems to be the topmost priority!

    That's an unfortunate trend! Ideally we should raise topics which generate interactive interest! Sadly a good number of them is in the form of reportages!
