Apex court pulls up CBI for not questioning Raja

The Supreme Court Friday pulled up the Central Bureau of Investigation for not questioning former telecom minister A. Raja in the 2G spectrum scam when prima facie there is enough material on him in the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report.

    C.B.I. functions under Govt. of India and not as an independent agency. Obviously, C.B.I. is not in a position to question any minister. That is why opposition is demanding JPC. Supreme court is expecting too much from C.B.I. which has always been an instrument in hand of ruling party.
