A very positive move by the CSIR. It will help the rural people immensely.
Life is like a boat in a sea, there is a lot to learn, so never close your mind to your limited experiences!
This is excellent. There should be more such beneficial projects implemented for the greater good of people.

Even though these developments have happened, these have happened too late. Let us hope that the latest technologies are able to reach remotest of the villages so that the lives of people become easier.

Not just people in rural areas, this technology has the potential to help all those who cannot access clean drinking water.
At 2paise per litre it is available very cheaply and even the urban poor can avail its benefits.
Any efforts for pure drinking water is, welcome. Problem of pure drinking water is problem of most of village and cities. Our basic source of water is rivers and all these are polluted.
It is a welcome move. Hope more and more people benefit from it. It is a shame if citizens of a country do not get their basic right of clean drinking water.
I am open to experience what life's mystery bag holds for me

Selfish peoples are responsible. God is giving us pure water but we are changing in sewerage water. Few month earlier one wine making factory of Punjab drained off lacs of litter chemicals in Satluj river. Water was so polluted that fishes were died and in my area admin order not to use this water for drinking purpose.
A similar incident took place in our country then, when 1kg rice was sold for 2rs. The move has won many poor hearts and some still remember it proudly. Hats off to the then CM. These generation political leaders know how to gather their own wealth. If this 'Oneer TM' water purifier is made available to the rural, unreached and in fact as you say it is a cost-effective method, then definitely it will not only bring about a positive change in our society and the men behind this efforts will be recognized and remembered for a lifetime.
Such projects should be encouraged and properly funded instead of wasting state/ peoples budget in building or demolishing the buildings for useless assembly or political structures by our present funny politicians.
