Exploitation continues today also.Recently I was told that in many private colleges teachers are paid govt. approved scales of pay but a part of it is deducted and shown as their donation to the college. How ingenouos. Should we blame Modi govt or previous govt. No, we have to blame greed of humans.

we need not blame any individual or political party as such. The exploitation continues because the exploiting classes are powerful and own the means of production. Exploitation continues in many ways.  The teachers are paid less by deducting for donation. In factories, many employees are not shown in employee roll and thus deprived of ESI and EPF benefits. They are just paid cash and no proof is left of their service. The employers show less workers on roll with several motives. One is that they will not have to comply with labor law, viz. ESI, PF etc.  secondly, with less workers on roll, they will show less production and so less liability for central excise, sales tax/VAT as well as income tax.

The only way to fight exploitation is to form strong workers' unions. Collective strength of workers is definitely more than individual worker's. That is why the workers in unorganized sector are exploited more. On May Day, the importance of strong workers' movement and unions can hardly be under stated.

Unity is strength. It is right to that get rights union are useful. But at present most of union leaders are working for their own interest. here in my more that 10000 auto are running and 3 or 4 union is also here. Most of presidents of these unions are history sheeter. Union leaders are collecting big amount as membership fees. Some parts of it is reaching to police and traffic department and some for union leaders. Most of tempo drivers have not fear of law and order because of union. Violation of traffic rules are very common here.

Showing donation is old system. At present school and college management get open saving account of employees and keep ATM card with them. Every month after depositing salary they withdraw it with ATM. There after they pay to employees decided amount, Which is not more than 25% of signed amount.

First of all happy workers day and i have to say that workers are the real hero whose determination to the society is really big

Working class be it agricultural , factory or armed forces form the backbone of any society and they are also a neglected lot , probably because they come from the middle income group and are very large in number . Giving them a rise or any extra benefit cannot be done in a hurry because it is bound to make a huge dent in the budget. Fro time to time benefits are being added and pay scales increased..

Talking about teachers being paid less in private institutions- It is happening in Karnataka in almost all government schools where they have at least 20%  of the staff on temporary terms and wages. Unless we pay a certain sum every time the pay check comes which is once in three months for dues that are six to seven months old, the check gets further delayed or sent back.

Situation in Rajasthan is better. It is right that no. of teachers are not enough here. But we have not system of temporary teachers. Earlier here government appoint some teacher on temporary basis. government paid to them on period basis. These teachers were called Shiksh Mitra. Qualification for these are only 12th. For regular teachers here salary payment system is online and we get salary almost every month.
