The Government's decision to end LPG subsidy facility to the rich is laudable. It aims to extend the facility to the poor and deserving is going to release the resources. I feel it sure is going to serve the aim of socially responsible use of public money.
if anything is done for the betterment of public interest then i think its good in sense of all goodness

We yet need to know the exact position of subsidy on gas. It is yet to be seen whether subsidy will be limited to non tax payer or only BPL card holders.

If such measures taken for the upliftment of the downtrodden then it is fine. Maybe at first we may feel our expenses are going high but if it's manageable then there is no problem. Still, I have some doubt in my mind that is on the name of improving the condition of the needy our subsidy will be stopped and later we come to know that the needy were not helped either and like different other scams this also tuns into a big scam called gas subsidy scam. Just an assumption because till date we saw that every government always tried to fool us.

A population brought up on dole and subsidies naturally cannot digest the fact that something worthwhile is being done and that it ultimately benefits the nation as a whole rather a handful who forget to value these freebies ...I sincerely hope Modi also looks into free electricity and water subsidy given in the name of reservation, which is being totally misused !
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
If the purpose of ending Gas subsidy for the rich is to provide Gas cooking facility to the really poor people who are under BPL, the introduction of this scheme should be appreciated.
No developed/developing countries could go on subsidies/reservations, donations forever. One has to be prepared to pay for the services availed.
That's true that those who are capable to pay then they should not avail gas subsidy. Same goes for reservation. It should be based upon economic condition and not on caste and religion. Once again I want to repeat that the government must remain very watchful on the gas subsidy issue so that the real needy get benefited.

Why was the subsidy given on the first place, only to be taken off? I think it was trick played to first please the aam junta and now in th ename of providing or extending the LPG facility to the BPL people, they are only targeting on future votes banks. I agree we have to be socially responsible but everything in this country is done only to serve one and only purpose...vote!

People who see the things wearing yellow glasses see every thing Yellow. The Gas connection was meant for those who are below the BPL. It was just introduced. And without waiting for the outcome, already people started talking. wait and see.
