    Looks like the principals of various schools are not very happy with this kind of must -watch PM's speech on 5th Sept-teacher's day. I think it would be a good idea to record the speech and show it at a convenient time suitable for schools across..and not disturb the teacher's day celebration that is observed every year.

    I don't know what the evil influnces were before current government took over. Moreover, BJP is not so relevant. BJP is simply a political platform of the vast saffron brigade headed by Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh. The other organizations like Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajarang Dal along with a few others are components of the saffron brigade.

    Guru Diwas or Utsav which generally, during my school days were called ias but seudo secualrs make it teachers days as if Dr. Radhkrishnan comes from west, now patriots, makes it to real original what it is called few years back, it is a welcome step.

    What was the date of the said Guru utsav mentioned by you. In all probability, Dr. Radha Krishnan's birthay is celebrtaed as Teacher's day. This has nothing to do with the 'guru utsav' of your school days, date of which is not known and never heard of. .

    We called it Guru Divas since my school days, not teacher's day, I have heard it after pseudo seculars rules the country for last ten years, it is 5th september as far as I remember, it is there 25 years ago as guru divas, but how it is converted to teacher's day by so called pseudo secular politicians is beyond imagination. :whistle: :whistle:

    Since childhood..from KG classes..we have been celebrating 5th Sept (Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishan's b'day) as teacher's day. Nov 14 as children's day (Jawaharlal Nehru's b'day) Probably, a teacher who is also known as Guru ..hence the tern Guru Divas has also been used.

    I see nothing wrong in the PM addressing teachers and students on teacher's day..but because it may not be possible for schools to make proper arrangements ..it is better to show the recorded version of the PM's speech. After all the school students are the future of our country and should be aware of their rights and duties so as to grow up as responsible citizens.

    Well said ! Change ius a part of life in politics and social structure etc etc, and any change that brings in positive results should be welcomed instead of being criticised just for the sake of doing so as is being done in this case..
