Actually Congress and BJP have same policies. But they have to criticize each other jsut to perform roles of ruling and oppition. The rail budget is defintely more pro rich. There is little in the budget that would help the passengers traveling by orinary second class. Bullet trains, a few world class stations are of no interest to commo people.

It's neither pro rich or anti poor. The budget is more of a remedial steps to correct the errors of the previous government. Stressing on safety and security of the people cannot be anti common people.

On the day Congress slammed the rail budget as anti-poor, two regional parties - Congress ally Nationalist Congress Party and AIADMK - backed it as the way forward.
Goes to show that the allies have better sense and dont cricise for the sake of doing so which Congress is an expert at ...

The budget has addressed more the problem of bringing finance into the railways which is also very essential as it will reduce budgetory support and help execute projects in a time bound manner. Whichever party is in opposition is going to criticize the government.
