When it happened about Islam and some girls were arrested there was no outcry, in fact everyone felt that what the girls did was wrong since it hurt the sentiments of a religious group, so what is the difference now... By the way when a fellow threatens to kill Modi, should he be allowed ? Also, he is a known Congress goon...

Social workers should concentrate on socialism but this man was trying to insult and threat would be PM of India. Anyone doing that against anyone is not acceptable.

I think you mean 'social work' and not 'socialism' which is a political ideology. Our first P.M. also aimed at 'socialistic pattern of society'. I agree that sociial workers should concentrate on social work and not indulge in politics. But nowadays many social, religious and cultural organizations indulge in politics.

That's because politics has become an easy occupation to earn money. No need of any investment. No need of any educational qualifications.
A social worker is very well verged with the things that he should do and what he shold not do. Whatever he did was by his intention and he tried to insult and he threatened the Prime Minister of India, of which he has no right. He threatened to kill Modi and obviously his arrest is very much justified.

You need cores of rupees to contest elections. Other political activities also cost. Politics is like business. That is why politics and corruption are inseparabel whatever be party. So you need heavy investment in politics. There are no prescribed qualification but without skill you cannot succeed anywhere including politics.

What is the cost involved to float an insignificant party ? The intention of such petty parties are only to be merged with some national party for a price without an investment. What happened to 'Praja Rajyam; party started by actor Chiranjeevi? Ultimately he merged his party with congress with an assurance of a ministerial post.

I am too poor to float any party. Actor Chiranjeev is no doubt quite rich and would have spent money for registration and some oinitial publicty. The candidates would also have spent for fighting elections. A too poor person cannot hope to raise a party and much less dream of merging with Congress or some other big party. You need good money even to register a society.

OK. Chiranjeevi is rich. But there are several parties who floated parties with the ulterior motive of dividing the votes or bargaining with some parties who need an alliance. As far as the registration is concerned, it's much less than what these Chillar parties get through bargaining.
