I felt the list is incomplete without Florence Nightingale and Kalpna Chawla, Sunita Williams. Fortunately though Indira Gandhi was shown, nothing was said about her.

Only twelve women have been selected. It is not an easy job to select just twelve women. There are hundreds of women that could be considered as having changed history.

Yes. even though the list said 12 women. there were only 11 women.
Importance of women cannot be described in words. The list of women who changed history and worked for the welfare of society is never ending. Women has been the torch bearer and will continue to do so.
I am really sad to see that Aung San Suu Kyee is mentioned in the list! Although I am a fan of Marilyn Monroe, I don't understand how she made a difference to the world??

And how some others made a place in this list, ahead of women who have done so much for the women and society as whole? Couple of names in the list make no sense at all.

If I am correct due to her graceful beauty one particular president family lost election or something like that, may be Kennedy, and she was famous for her beauty.

Well, the list is not made in India by Indians , else these names would have surely figured in the list!

@Mohan, you are right Monroe was connected with the Kennedy family and on John F. Kennedy's (Sr) birthday she sang the song "Happy Birthday to you" which created a huge storm!
