    They have chance every where. But it is also a fact that men and women fare better in certain fields. Except armed forces, women have everywhere equal opportunity.

    There are enough opportunities. It’s a question of priorities and preferences. Not to forget orientation towards a particular job.

    It just the statistics of India, not abroad. In western countries, girls are everywhere. Trend is changing in India also though :)

    It just the statistics of India, not abroad. In western countries, girls are everywhere. Trend is changing in India also though :)


    No Rakhi, the report is about a survey made in USA, it shows statistics only for USA and not India.

    Women are accepting challanges in these. Here 125 women are appointed as bus conductor in state roadways. Work of revenue patwari is challenging job. here in my district more that 50 women working on this post.

    Sir, The topic here is started by me. However, this is based on a foreign survey that is based on statistics and not on some subjective views on gender. The work places may be bubbling with qualified women in some areas. But the survey could be based on sample drawn from area where there are lesser number of women in technological field. Surveys conducted at different times or places may indicate different results. Quite often sample may not be truly representative.

    No, I do not mean YOU when I said the topic started because you have only quoted it and I can see who started this thread. I am referring to the guy who started it in the first place. I am basically engaged with a job where I get to meat people in different industries and can see that women do not leg behind in any field including technology.
