Supreme Court has upheld bar dancers' right to perform. Accordingly, Bar dancers will reappear in Maharashtra's bars. But this is subject to licensing and regulation.

I guess they too have a right to pursue their profession and why not if it is done in an organised manner ....When we actually look at the profession it is an entertainment and relaxation for those who visit bars but of course it does take on other forms when there is no legal sanction to it...

When the government had to allow the dance bar again, then why they stop in the first place. I really can't understand this :unsure:

True....but the problem here is that we cannot neglect the human trafficking that goes on to bring the girls into these bars. Similar to the prostitution, illegal trafficking of minor girls is a big industry and has links with underworld mafia. Also, we cannot avoid the fact that thousands of families have been brought on the streets because men in their homes sold off their homes and belongings to throw money on these dancers!

Illegal trafficking of women can be checked if you legalize prostitution. Of course, bar dancing must be lawful. We have seen that there is more illicit liqueur causing death in states where prohibition policy is followed. similar is the case with bar dancing.
Meanwhile the MLA who had initiated the ban is furious on government not adequately defending government policy in court.
