True. There was a possibility of denying charges with many other cock and bull stories . But, I doubt, there is a ploy behind this. In order to save the embarrassing to the government, he was asked to resign.. Don’t worry, soon after the dust settles and unsuspecting people forget , he will be posted as a governor of some state.
