It is okay to express your honest opinion on all matters. Right of expression is certainly not a license to insult and abuse. A lady who wrote insulting remarks in Facebook learnt this a hard way.

There exists an unwritten law that says 'while online, consider yourself as if you are sitting among your real friends because you are being watched by hundreds and thousands of people who may not like your rude ways'

Freedom of expression doesn't mean trampling other's rights. Glad the activist had a befitting lesson.

While insults or abuses stand at an altogether different plane, irony is a very familiar and favorite form of literary expressions for many and it has nothing to do with insult or abuse. For example the expression ' Mercy Killing' has an ironic ring around it!!!

In the month of January, this year, centre issued advisory to all states and UTs asking them not to arrest a person in such cases without prior approval of a senior police officer. And AP government ignored it.
