This is not anything new, traditionally most Indians know the benefits of drinking ginger tea and is still followed in most households during monsoons and winters! I personally enjoy drinking ginger tea a lot!

I too love ginger and cardamom tea a lot...In fact now I see a lot of westerners too enjoying this in the local tea shops where they make very good ginger tea...

Yes, we used to take our clients out when they came for a visit to India, we used to take them out for tea in a local 'tapri' outside our office for ginger tea and a wada-pav, they loved it a lot!!

Wada pav is another of my favorites, there used be a small place on the outskirts of mubai close to khandala where people would stop and que up to buy the stuff.Now we get it here as well, since it is becoming popular everywhere...
