    well, only few places in India do the people give economic freedom to women

    other wise there is just tough competition and women are just belittled in India!

    It is surprising that
    India, with a score of 37.3 ranks 115 among the 128 countries surveyed.Where There are many women in top position.

    The power in India is often fake. There is reservation fro women in local bodies. So, women are elected. However, the authority or power is utilized by their husbands. This has give rise to new designation a 'pradhan pati' 'parshad pati'. Today, I read an interesting news in local evening paper. Government have directed staff if corporation not to entertain 'parshad pati (counselor husband). Some husbands of the corporation members (parshad pati) were not entertained by staff and they said they would deal only with their wives who had real membership of municipal corporation. This resulted in clash of words. Some husbands claimed that their wives were in corporation only because of them.

    Maximum number of countries came from Europe as expected and it is no surprise about Indias rank either....Also there are not a single country from Asia , shows the mindset of the society in general...
