The person can live with out sleep for 22 days after that he will die. Every day min 6 hours is compulsory.

Yes I too if I was not slept in a single day my eyes will become reddish.
How much sleep one requires is entirely dependent on the individual. Some require more sleep and some require far less sleep.But generally speaking most adult people are able to function well with about 6 or 7 hours of sleep. growing children especially teenagers require more than that, I guess there is no limit to how much they can sleep...

It depends on huch much physical work you do those who work more physically require more sleep than those who work sitting on chair.But that's fact every one need at lwast sleep of 6 hours in a day to remain fit.Taking less sleep often cause many diseases like hypertension,blood pressure problem so one must take a healthy sleep. :)
Our body works throughout the day to give it a rest we need to sleep.We must sleep at least 6 hours night.But one can sleep also in the afternoon also.

We have many 'sleeping' members just like 'sleeping partners'. I wish they wake up from sleep and come to forum.
At the stroke of 10 i sleep and get up exactly at 4 am without alarm. This sound sleep keeps me fresh along the day.

6 hours of sleep is sufficient for an adult. For kids, they require 8 hours of sleep.
A little longer sleep will also avoid overeating with resultant benefits.

Well that's a new information to know but most of us have improper sleeping and eating habits now-a-days.. maybe due to our professional demands and lifestyle.
Good informative article, and it makes sense in a way....Sleep is very essential for all of us and if it also helps us in keeping ourselves fit as well.In fact growing children and teenagers need to sleep an extra hour at least during weekends so that their metabolism and growth remains healthy...
I need at least 6-7 hours for sleep. I go to bed at 11:00 PM and get up at 6.30 AM

Now-a-days I am having sleep of 4-5 hours a day. I know it is not good for health. Today is Diwali. Due to crackers, I think i will be having 3-4 hours of sleep today.
Sleep is a personal specific demand. Some people sleep for 8-9 hours at a stretch while some others find a 5-6 hours sleep sufficient. I find a six hours sound sleep perfect for myself.


I don't measure my sleep in terms of hours. I sleep a sound undisturbed sleep for 6 hours. I work for 12 hours without fatigue. I'm at the pink of my health
I am free from 5 months, so i have become little bit lazy. I sleep for more than 7 hours. :P
That is the good for normal human being sleeping for 7 hours more than it is dangerous for health.
