Sleep is a personal specific demand. Some people sleep for 8-9 hours at a stretch while some others find a 5-6 hours sleep sufficient. I find a six hours sound sleep perfect for myself.
On an average 6-7 hours of sleep is fine. I have friends who can well sleep for 10-12 hours at a stretch. It poses many health problems too. As it is said "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise" ;)
The minimum hours needed for a human to sleep is hours and the maximum hours is 8 hours. children should have 8 hours sleeps. sleep covers many of our health diseases especially dark circles
For every human being 7 hours sleep is enough it is better to sleep at 9 o clock and wake up at 4 oclock which is better for health.

Sleeping at 9 'O clock ! Isn't it too early. :P

This depends on your time schedule. I go to bed at 9 P.M. and get up at 5 A.M.

Early to bed and early to rise was the rule. Then there was no T.V. Now people like to view T.V. late night. Hence they go to bed late and rise late.
I have habit of working till late at night. Thus I go to bed in mid night and wake up late in the morning. This is actually not good for health. This is my born habit.

How I wish I could sleep at 9PM but I generally sleep at 1.30 AM due to my professional demands. I have to keep in touch with my clients in US therefore sleep late on week days. Now I am used to that sleep pattern.

once you adapt to the changes it becomes difficult to change the habit.
We need to sleep at least 8 hours a day.Proper sleep is very much essential for our body.We must have a sound sleep at least at night.
You should atleast 6 hours at night.

Afternoon sleep is good for health?

If you take heavy lunch, you will feel sleep in afternoon. There is no harm in sleeping then. Whatever our body demands is okay.
A person can sleep according to availability of time and facility, some one would like to sleep while working but that is not possible. However a sleep between 6-8 hours is enough for an average person.
Sleep also depends on the state of your mind. When I am tensed I tend to have sleepless nights.
The sleep we have at night time will be good for us. How much we sleep at day time it is not much valued for our health
One should take 6 hours minimum for sleeping..It is my opinion. :S :S
I like to sleep atleast for 6 to 7 hours. In afternoon i don't like to sleep and also not having habit.
