Bihu is also a festival of prosperity or agriculture. So this is similar. There are two Bihu- One is Rangoli Bihu and another is simply Bihu.

Ya, Vishu is of course Kerala's special.....
Thrissur people celebrate it most with crackers and sadya, as we Thrivandrum people do for Diwali.
Tonight I have to make vishu kani...decorate Krishna with flowers, fruits, gold, money........and will show it first to my family members
Vishu flowers for all of you

Vishu is not Makara Sankranthi.
Makara Sankranthi is celebrated in Malayalam month 'Makaram' hence known as Makara Sankranthi, comes between January 15 and February 15. Also, it's the same day when Makara Vilakku(lamp) shows in Sabarimala.
Vishu is celebrated on Medam month first day which marks forst day of Tamil Calender.
99% days, it comes on April 14th. 10 days later, 10th sunrise(Patthamudayam) is also a special day...(Medam 10th)
