    There is criticism by medical experts against proposed shortening of MBBS course.

    Thefact remains that we need doctors for first aid, minor ailments for which full fledged medical experts may be unnecessary and costly. Many go to quackswho exploit people. Even if MBBS course is not reformed, it will be worthwhile to introduce a diploma or certificate course in medicine. These certificate and diploma holders will be subject to code of conduct.

    A family practice physician is a "General Practitioner" GP...
    to treat a wide variety of patient care.

    An "Internal Medicine" physician is a term used for a Doctor that has specialized training and is authorized to practice more in depth of the scope of that specialty area of medicine.
