Indian administrative Service (also called I.A.S. proper), and Indian Foreign service are considered superior to other services. The highest merit goes to I.A.S. and I.F.S. Those selected for I.P.S. and other services make more attempts to get transferred to I.A.S. (or I.A.S. proper, as usually termd)
