BJP is a branch of R.S.S.- a fascist organization- that repeatedly talks of Hindu Rashtra. I remember that some RSS ideologue once wrote that Muslims, Christians and communists are enemies of this nation. The term 'communist' also referred to Pt Nehru whom RSS considered as following Soviet Union. They are mainly confined to Hindi speaking area. Their old slogan was- Hindi, Hindu, Hindustan.
The BJP came to power at center not by getting mandate from the entire country. BJP cleverly made intensice campaign in states like U.P., Bihar, M.P., Rajasthan etc where the saffron party has significant presence. The electoral success in these states gave the BJP a mandate to rule at center. The BJP also successfully persuaded the non Hindus also on development agenda and slogan like 'sab ka saath sab ka vikas'.
However, the BJP leaders lost their head after the parliamentary success. The began working on Hindutva agenda like ban on cow slaughter and made provocative speeches. It needs mention here that even top BJP leader commented in Bihar- "If BJP loses here somehow, crackers will be burst in Pakistan'. They are still doing so. Consequently, the minorities and secularists are rethinking. BJP lost in Bihar- a Hindi speaking state.
The states going for poll are all non Hindi speaking states. It is possible that BJP may get some negligent success some where. Excep Assam, they are nowhere. There is much at stake for BJp as they cannot get majority in Rajya Sabha unless they get good number of seats in state assemblies.

Agreed chances of BJP sweeping these states are less excepting Assam where it may do good to very good. In TN it may tag along with AIADMK and it may gain more seats in Bengal at the expense of Congress. But voters are final decision makers. To expect BJP to be radically different from Congress in itself is a utopian thought because except for few leaders at top, below the followers are similar.
This topic has given a great opportunity for some to rant abt RSS,fascism and you name it...and they call themselves secular and tolerant. Let us not make any assumptions at this stage since there is a lot of things that need to be looked into before writing off BJP ...as of now it is the strongest party around with a very committed PM and an equally committed ministerial group at the center..
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
The pseudo nationalists and self proclaimed patriots also can rant and howl.

In my viewvBJP squandered a great chance of moving forward as per their manifesto. They have forgotton about it and concentrating on petty matters. There manifesto had mentioned integration of Kashmir, civil code and OROP. Except the last which is given not as per defiñation of parliament BJP is talking of other things this is sad.
Manifestos are written by party members with horse vision or tunnel vision. When they come to power the stark reality dawns upon them. The manifesto and real situation no longer look compatible. so how can one go about fulfilling the manifesto which is hopelessly out of sync with ground situation. Then diversionary tactics are used to divert public attention. These are time tested fool proof methods adopted by political parties everywhere. It is the gullible and very young inexperienced voters who really expect manifestos to be concretised. So why you are feeling sad is not understandable. Have a glass of chilled beer and write a good article for us to read.
According to one member BJP has a presence only in the northern states which is totally wrong because Karnataka has a very strong BJP presence with at least two ministers from the state at the center, it is better to check ones facts before ranting out simply for the sake of doing so..

There are members here, who drag the discussion without knowing the facts. The member is helpless.
