We are far more accustomed to foods that are full of chemicals and pesticides which deplete the actual nutritional content of those foods making us prone to allergies more than people in olden days.

They ate seasonal and Natural food. They ate home cooked food. Because of this reason they were free from diseases and allergies.

As today the farmers are more focusing on quantity ignoring the quality, they are using more pesticides and chemical to produce more. That is also one reason we are facing more diseases than before.

That's because natural pesticides are not available now. Farmers also not willing to go for natural fertilizers because the productivity will be reduced drastically. Chemical pesticides allow the crop to grow in a fast way.

They can still concentrate on quantity because they too want to get profits but there are other options like natural pesticides made with neem and other natural elements which are not at all harmful. In fact thats what is being used in organic farming .

Yes our farmers can use organic pesticides, but most of them are not aware. Our government should do something to make aware our farmers about the benefits of using organic pesticides.

True...our traditional methods of farming used natural pesticides and soil conditioners such as neem, rice husks, cow dung and cow urine etc. In fact, in Maharashtra, before each rainy season, farmers used to pay shepherds to camp in their farms and fields for a week or so, so that the sheep and goat droppings mixed with the soil on a large scale. it is only when the multinational companies entered Indian markets that false propaganda of traditional farming methods not being profitable etc. was started so chemical pesticides and fertilizers could be sold on profit.

In many villages organic farming is done and it is not expensive as it is presumed to be..It takes some effort because you need to plant neem tress around your farm and the dried leaves need to be soaked and made into pesticide but it is being done. Farmers use chemical fertilisers because it is available cheap at subsidised rates which benefits them and the government as well..

Atleast it's not available in big cities like Vizag or Vijayawada in AP. organic food isavailable in Hyderabad only. Though, it's available in village fairs in suburbans, which are far away. And even in village fairs, it's availability is very limited.
