If there is no devil we cannot remember god both are in all lifes when good things happen means god given gift bad things happen means Ghost punished us.
I do not think that 'ghosts' are used to punish. The god of punishment is Saturn or Shani Dev. The 'ghosts' do more harm to the good people. They seldom terrorize the wicked.
