Shampa Sadhya replied to the topic Is there a perfect age for marriage ?.
The trouble what I felt while handling my toddler in mid thirties cannot be the same with other ladies of the same age. There are ladies with full of zeal and wonderful health who would never find it difficult to manage a little kid. I had health issues and quite naturally my energy level was quite less. Earlier I wrote about the monetary factor related to the completion of child's education is certainly an issue to ponder upon for us and people like us who have a fixed income and also a retirement age but those who have a huge income and no retirement age , they will not be bothered about the settlement. Thus, it varies from person to person and the choice be left to them. I was extremely happy with my decision of getting married late but felt little taxing when I became a mother due to health otherwise I don't have any repentance for my late marriage. It helped me to understand my spouse better, I knew how to control my expectations as well as never had that dreamy kind of imagination regarding the romance in our married life which are very essential qualities to remain together blissfully.

Personally I am never comfortable using a traditional Indian style of toilet nor does anyone else in my family. So we don't have any Indian style toilets in our houses. However, while travelling and in other peoples houses I may have to use Indian toilets if I feel the need to do so..

I agree , RAMAKRISHNAN has put it beautifully...Perfection what we can strive for and to say we have achieved it is fooling ourselves ! One may achieve some level of perfection with regard to a minute part of ones life but that does not make our entire existence or life perfect since we are made of many such components and it is impossible to achieve perfection..

Appreciate what we have
Written by Jincy Aby Category: General Discussions 4 days ago
The main reason of sorrow is a feeling that one does not get what he/she deserves. Develop a mind set up to appreciate what we have, then all the sorrows will be changed into happiness.
There are genuine cases of sorrow which one cannot overlook. Losing a child or poverty can be very distressful and unless there is a total change one cannot expect people to remain content and appreciate what they have. It is only within limits that people can remain happy and appreciate of their life ..

That is exactly what I was thinking ! Where are all the great writers and the so called rational thinkers and their award giving drama , in fact not a word from any one of them including Girish Karnad , who is always the first one to criticise ! It is totally missing this time round. I guess it is because TMC is not BJP, thats the only explanation I can think of ..

Last year in U.P. a person was killed by a crow of 10 -15 bad mannered people, then started a shout of intolerance and the issue was made national and center govt. was made responsible for it. Many activists started returning their awards and many film actors were feeling unsafe in India. T.V. debates were going on this issue for months.
After few months, in January this year crowd of lakhs of people gathered and communal riots occurred in Malda city West Bengal, and in Purnia district in Bihar. For many days after the riots has happened, no news channel took interest to show any news on the riots, and even a single activist have returned his award. The film actors have not said anything on the riot. Even when the center govt. sent its members to collect the information about the riots, they were arrested and send back saying that it is state's issue and center has nothing to do.

yes it is right only we and we are responsible for happenings of life. Equal Opportunities available for all, it is depends on person how they will used these.
No equal opportunities in our country because of reservations which in itself is highly demotivating for the majority of the population. We also see how this brings down performance in general for the country as a whole !

Whereas earlier the only aim of marriage was to procreate under the watchful eyes of the elders since marriages were arranged, age was an important factor. However with changed scenario , now people prefer to treat marriage as romantic companionship or for some security. So, the ideal age too has changed. We see more girls opting to get married only if and when they want to , the same goes for the young men. There are also many cases of couple getting married in their late thirties or even later...

Shampa Sadhya replied to the topic How to perform in Group Discussion?.
It is very easy for all of us to say that 'be confident', but we all say this to encourage you and hope that you become successful. Now, the point is that only our encouragement cannot make you confident. What you need is the inner belief, the faith in yourself can definitely give you the push you require. While you prepare for the group discussion, kindly say to yourself over and over again ,'I can do it' and see the magic. This will encourage you and your fear will take a back seat. If during group discussion you are asked to start the discussion or randomly you are asked to speak on the topic then never avoid it. Grab the opportunity instantly and speak your mind with clarity but never be aggressive and this will reflect your leadership quality which is of utmost importance. You can stand in front of a mirror and discuss any topic loudly, counter yourself and put forward as many viewpoints you can. It will also help you and if you get a chance to join any crash course on Personality Development as others have suggested will take you a long way but remember trust in yourself is the basic key to success in public speaking.

@RAMAKRISHNAN.A Sir, First of all I must thank you for explaining your point so very effectively. Your reply simply overwhelmed me. Yes, I too agree with the saying. Even in our daily lives when everything goes by smoothly, we really thank God for it and usually wonder that how it was possible not to encounter any obstruction! It's actually a miracle not to face any hurdle so having some or the other difficulties in our day to day lives is the most acceptable truth.

Yes, I do agree with the statement.
When you do not face any problems, it means you have reached (or the world has reached) a state of perfection. Perfection is an impossible situation because we are living in a world of contradictions. It is a mixture of opposite qualities. It is a world where good is followed by evil, light is followed by darkness and smile is followed by tears. Perfection is an illusion; and problems are inevitable.

Shampa Sadhya replied to the topic Need to change our education system!.
Nowadays, students regularly get project work on various topics in different subjects which is not rote learning. Secondly, in Mathematics and Science subjects students are asked questions based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) which again cannot be answered through mugging up. Our younger generation is definitely succeeding internationally so is it appropriate to say that our present generation is not learning properly. We need to change a few things here and there and Indian education system will be absolutely fine.
I would suggest that CBSE must make secondary examination compulsory because it helps the students to prepare for the future in a much better way. As well as in the final examinations of every class the syllabus should not be only of the second term but must include chapters from the previous term too. Revision helps the students to strengthen the knowledge or else they forget everything they learnt during the first term. Presently, schools stress on group projects too which makes the students work as a team which is quite helpful. So, in one go we should not demean the present system and the institutions as well as underestimate the present generation.

Shampa Sadhya replied to the topic Is there a perfect age for marriage ?.
I firmly believe marriage is a very personal decision. Marriage at any ripe age is their choice but sometimes I find people getting married three to four times irrespective of age factor then it really bothers me. I wish to question them that how do they rate the institution of marriage. Even I believe that marriage has nothing to do with having a child. A couple blessed with a child is a blessing from God but having a child cannot be mandatory and can't be made the sole reason to get married.
