Director:    Clint Eastwood Cast:          Tom Hank, Aaron Eckhart, Laura Linny  Rating:       Very entertaining, must watch Genre:        Drama, non fiction   It is very difficult to make an real life event into interesting and suspenseful movie. Further, it is near impossibility to convert a true story into an entertaining and suspenseful cinema. The reason is that most of the moviegoers know what would  happen in the end. There has been exception in the past,is exception in the present and will be exception in the future too. One such exceptional movie is SULLY.  Based on the true event what is popularly known as "Miracle on the Hudson". On 18 January 2009, a US Airway flight no. 1549 was hit by birds in the mid air. It had resulted in the failure of the two engines of the plane. The flight had no power to fly. However, due to the quick thinking and lots of good fortune of Captain Sully aka Chesley Sully Sullenberger the flight somehow managed to land safely on the Hudson river. All the passengers including the crew members survived the crash with little or no injury at all.  The movie begin after the plane crash. The Captain and the co-pilot were hailed as heroes by the press, ordinary people and every one. However, there was an investigation going on about the crash. The investigators find some instigating materials against  the two heroes. Captain Sully would be discharged from duty without any pension if the allegation were prove to be true. However, Captain Sully faced the investigation like a man. Eventually the investigators also acquitted him. There are many memorable moments in the movie which makes it very attention gripping. There are many human side to the movie which makes it very gripping. The nightmare of Captain Sully, Captain Sully being hugs by the unknown Manager of the Hotel, his devotion to the duty which can realize from the fact that he was last man to get out of the sinking plane and the frantic call by the passengers. This is originally a story of Captain Sully.  Directed brilliantly by the Oscar winning Director Clint Eastwood. He has made many memorable films like Million Dollar Baby, Unforgiven, etc. In fact these two films have won the Oscar Award.  Though the pace of the movie was slow. Yet due to the brilliant storytelling capability of  the filmmakers, the film was suspenseful.  The movie does n't move in a straight line. The story transmigrate between the time. At one time, investigation and the anxiety it cause to Sully were really well picturised in the movie.  This makes the movie very fascinating. Tom Hank as usual was at his best. I don't know how Tom Hank does this. Everytime he is on screen, he puts on a great show. I really love the acting of Tom Hank.  All in all, a great movie. This is a film worth watching.

Well I don't think there's a better way to express your love for someone, than through songs. Cards, or the well planned 'unexpected gift at an unexpected time', all pale in comparison. In life, all you need is love, uhhh, & chocolate, & a good bank balance, & high speed internet!! Ok, jokes apart, I'm now gonna share my favorite love songs with you...  "I've found a reason for me To change who I used to be A reason to start over new and the reason is you.." 'Hoobastank' from the song-The Reason The song topped the charts globally, & it's no surprise. The vocals, lyrics & song structure are bodacious. Change is usually difficult, but when spurred by love, it's smooth & easy( or atleast it seems so!!)... "Yours is the first face that I saw I think I was blind before I met you Now I don't know where I am I don't know where I've been But I know where I want to go.." 'Brighty Eyes' from the song-First day of my life Though I'm not into this band all that much, I absolutely luuurrrvvve this song. The song lines are too good to be true. And anyone who's been in love knows that your life begins anew, from the moment you fall in love...Right??!! "If the love that I got for you is gone If the river I cried ain't that long Then I'm wrong, yeah I'm wrong, this ain't a love song..." 'Bon Jovi' from the song-This ain't a love song Though most people consider 'Always', as the best love ballad by Bon Jovi, this is my pick. This song is taken from the album 'These days. The lyrics & the song structure give you an instant eargasm. For those of you who haven't checked it out yet, it's high time you did..... "Lying close to you feeling your heart beating And I'm wondering what you're dreaming, Wondering if it's me you're seeing Then I kiss your eyes and thank God we're together And I just wanna stay with you In this moment forever, forever and ever..." 'Aerosmith' from the song-I don't want to miss a thing The soundtrack of the movie Armageddon, was filled with awesome rock songs, but all of them paled in comparison to this gem of a love song. The song climbed upto number one on the global charts, in a jiffy... "You fill up my senses like a night in the forest, like the mountains in springtime, like a walk in the rain, like a storm in the desert, like a sleepy blue ocean. You fill up my senses, come fill me again..." 'John Denver' from the song-Annie's song This song by Country rock giant John Denver is simply mindblowing. The lyrics & music are nothing short of perfect. After listening to this song, you'll feel like you just walked out of a Monet painting... "I can't deny what I believe I can't be what I'm not I know our love forever I know, no matter what.." 'Boyzone' from the song-No matter what Though the boyband has belted out way too many perfect love ballads, this is my favorite. Love the simple lyrics & the awesome music. If you've been in love, you know that nothing else really matters, & you'll do anything to make it last forever.... "Please forgive me I know not what I do. Please forgive me I can't stop lovin' you Don't deny me. This pain I'm going through... Please forgive me if I need you like I do..." 'Bryan Adams' from the song-Please forgive me Sandpaper voiced Rock icon Bryan Adams has been revered for his unbelievably mushy love songs. This mother of a love ballad, is one of my favorite love songs ever...Love the lyrics & the perfect song structure.. "My love throws me like a rubber ball Oh oh oh, the sweetest thing She won't catch me or break my fall Oh oh oh, the sweetest thing Baby's got blue skies up ahead But in this I'm a rain cloud You know she likes a dry kind of love Oh oh oh, the sweetest thing.." 'U2' from the song-The sweetest thing Bono & gang are considered to be the best Rock band ever. They have more than their share of uber mushy love ballads, to their credit. This short sweet love song, is my favorite by this band.... "Nothing you can know that isn't known Nothing you can see that isn't shown Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be It's easy All you need is love All you need is love All you need is love, love Love is all you need...." 'The Beatles' from the song-All you need is love The list of Rock love ballads, will never be complete without the quartet that started off writing mushy love ballads. The lyrics & song structure are simple yet strong & soothing. Trust me it'll give you an instant eargasm!! That's all for now.....

Bineesh Balakrishnan created new article BUZZ SONGS.
If you're a Rock fan, you'll be aware that Rock music helps to raise your energy levels quickly. It creates a buzz, that re-energizes you. In this post I'd like to share songs that help me to get the buzz back into the day... Walk by Pantera Pantera was hailed as one of the pioneers of Thrash metal. This song is one of the heaviest metal songs, & one of the most popular one as well. The commercial success of this song was of gargantuan proportions. Just one listen to this song takes your energy levels higher... Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes Jack & Meg White came out with this killer song, which is supposed to have the third catchiest guitar riff of all times( the catchiest guitar riff was from 'Smoke on the water' by Deep Purple, & the second catchiest was from 'Smells like teen spirit' by Nirvana). From the opening lyrics:"I'm gonna fight em' off, a seven nation army couldn't hold me back...", & the awesome guitar work, one easily get's transported to a higher energy level.... Acquiesce by Oasis "I don't know what it is that makes me feel alive, I don't know how to wake the things that sleep inside..." sings Liam Gallagher at the opening of this killer of a song. The song appeared on the album 'Master plan', a B sides compilation. Often referred to as the best friendship song by the Mancunian Rock band, it definitely takes you to a higher energy plane... Fuel by Metallica The most commercially successful Heavy metal band in history has been well known for belting out high energy track after track. My personal favorite energy upper is this track. With James Hetfield shouting:" Gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire...", the song explodes, & keeps the energy level at gargantuan proportions.... Song 2 by Blur This is the 2nd song from the album 'Blur', it reached number 2 position on the UK charts, & is 2 minutes long- couldn't be more aptly named right?!. Damon Albarn & crew have umpteen platinum singles & albums to their credit, but none are as power packed as this song..."Wooo Hooo..." Tub thumper by Chumba Wumba This song gained cult following, because of the powerpacked lyrics & awesome music. Played at stadiums before Cricket & Football matches, the song definitely takes you to highly charged energy zone. The chorus-"I get knocked down, but I get up again...You're never gonna keep me down...", is highly addictive, to say the least... Rock you like a hurricane by The Scorpions The Scorpions have way too many platinum singles & albums to their credit. But my favorite 'Rock hurricane', is this track. This hurricane of a track only takes your energy levels higher, & causes absolutely no damage to your house, car or pets, I assure you!! Machinehead by Bush Though Gavin Rossdale & his band were often considered as Nirvana wannabes for long, this is one mother of a track. The lyrics & music are brutally energetic & addictive... Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana The song that catapulted Nirvana to superstardom & kicked off the 90s Grunge Rock revolution of the 90s was inspired by a deodorant brand called 'Teen spirit'. With an uber addictive guitar riffage, & Cobain's graty vocals, this song does take your energy levels higher each time...If only Nirvana wasn't this negative & self destructive... Asche zu asche by Rammstein The German Rock outfit most remembered for their unbelievable guitar riffs, & pyrotechnics on stage, came out with this gem of a song. Till Lindemann's vocals and the music stucture are breath taking & energizing...... Though music helps to take your energy levels higher, I would like to advise the youth of today to avoid using drugs to get higher....The damage caused by these so called 'uppers' is severe & often irreversible....

It all started off in Manchester, a band was formed by the Gallagher brothers. Liam & Noel Gallagher, started writing, & composing music, hoping to get a break. Their band was named Oasis, & their debut album was titled 'Definitely Maybe'. The album was one of the highest selling albums in British rock history. The song 'Supersonic', topped the UK charts, & was highly acclaimed globally. The debut album also contained, other uber cool songs- 'Rock n Roll star', 'Live forever', 'Shaker maker', 'Slide away', 'Cigarettes & alcohol'. 'Rock n roll star' was the opening track, which was teeming with swagger. Liam Gallagher sings:"In my mind my dreams are real, now you're concerned about the way I feel..Tonight I'm a Rock n Roll star..". It was as if the Gallaghers were certain that the debut album would definitely catapult them to Rock n Roll superstardom. 'Live forever', was a heavy & stylish track. The lyrics:"Maybe I just wanna fly, wanna live I don't wanna die..Maybe I just wanna breathe, maybe I just don't believe...", showcases the rebellious heart of the band. This song was selected as the best Rock song ever, by Q magazine. After a multi platinum debut album, Oasis released their second album- '(What's the story) Morning Glory?'. Now most Rock bands are afraid of the 'sophomore slump' phenomenon, where your second album pales in comparison to your debut effort. But this Mancunian juggernaut took British rock music to newer heights with their second album. Tracks like 'Wonderwall', 'Roll with it', 'Some might say', 'She's electric', 'Don't look back in anger', 'Champagne Supernova','Morning glory' became earworms in a jiffy!! 'Wonderwall' was a love ballad, that was lyrically & musically bodacious. Liam sings:"When all the roads we have to walk are winding, & all the lights that light the way are blinding...There are many things that I would like to say to you, but I don't know how...". It is even now one of the ten best love ballads of all time...In 'Some might say', Oasis sounded a lot like the band Status Quo, hence the word 'Quoasis' was concocted, after this song hit number one, on the British charts!! With lyrics that go :"Some might say they don't believe in heaven, go & say it to the man who lives in hell...Some might say you get what you've been given, if you don't get your's I won't get mine as well..." The British audience accepted Oasis as 'the 90s Beatles'. In the US, though Oasis had a decent fan following, they were considered as 'The British Guns n Roses'. Oasis' gigs were sold out everywhere, & the band toured heavily. Wembley, Glastonbury & other popular venues were teeming with fans, eager to listen to this new rock phenomenon. The live experience was unbelievably powerful, & the audience luuuurrrvvved it!! The cult following that Oasis had, increased with their third album-'Be Here Now'. This album climbed to the Number one spot, on the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. The songs-'D'you know what I mean?', 'All around the world', 'Don't go away', 'Fade in out', 'Stand by me' were all runaway hits. This album earned them much critical acclaim as well. 'D'you know what I mean?', the opening track, was a 7 minute gem!! The lyrics like:"Comin' in a mess goin' out in style, I ain't good looking but I'm some one's child..." are teeming with audacity!! "All around the world' also received a lot of airplay globally. Oasis followed this up with a massive world tour. The fans were left breathless after the concerts, & Oasis became an official Rock Juggernaut!! The early years of Oasis, highlights how talent & swagger catapulted this band into Rock n Roll superstardom. They are even now compared to the modern day Beatles....What better way to end this post, than with lyrics from 'Supersonic'.... "I need to be myself, I can't be no one else I'm feeling supersonic, give me gin & tonic...."... & that's how the 'Swagger Gallaghers' took over the world of Rock n Roll...\m/

Is there a formula which explains how we fall in love? Something that helps us approximate how likely we are to find true love? Before we get to the maths behind this phenomenon we call love, let's see how to define the things we're gonna calculate, approximate & assess.. Well, the Oxford dictionary defines the words- 1.'love'as:- Noun-An intense feeling of deep affection. Verb-Feel a deep romantic or sexual attachment (to someone). 2.'probability' as:- Mass noun-The extent to which something is likely to happen or be the case. Ok, let's get started & on our way then...From time immemorial, man has been defining, refining & glorifying this thing called 'love'. Monuments have been erected, poems composed, essays running into tens of thousands of words written to glorify it..There's even a saint who wants you to send Hallmark cards, flowers, & gifts to your lover, exactly on February 14th, every year!! Statistics are available for almost everything ( although I'm reminded of a joke which goes-'90% of the statistics are cooked up on the spot!!')What statistics are available with regards to love?? Let's see..... Men are likely to fall in love at first sight, more than women (48% vs. 28%).*[From a survey of 80,000 people from around the world] Men also crave romance more than women.* Most human beings REALLY fall in love, twice in their lives.+[From a survey of 2000 people] One in twenty adults had been heartbroken more than five times in their lives.#[From a survey covering 2000 people] For 75% of the adults, the definition of love changes as they get older.# 25% of the adults have been in love with two people at the same time.# The survey also found that the typical adult fell in love for the first time at the tender age of 19 and dated four to five people before they met 'the one'.# Love is now big business worth an annual $ 4 billion internationally and growing at 70 per cent a year-with high-tech venture capitalists, psychologists and software engineers reaping vast rewards.% Quite a lot of information we've taken in there... Now let's bring in the picture of finding your soulmate, the only person suited to be your romantic partner... "Our universe grants every soul a twin—a reflection of themselves—the kindred spirit – And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other—even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."-Julie Dillon "We’ll assume your soul mate is set at birth. You know nothing about who or where they are, but — as in the romantic cliché — you’ll recognize each other the moment your eyes meet. Right away, this raises a few questions. For starters, is your soul mate even still alive? A hundred billion or so humans have ever lived, but only seven billion are alive now (which gives the human condition a 93% mortality rate). If we’re all paired up at random, 90% of our soul mates are long dead. The number of strangers we make eye contact with each day is hard to estimate. It can vary from almost none (shut-ins or people in small towns) to many thousands (a police officer in Times Square). Let’s suppose you lock eyes with an average of a few dozen new strangers each day. (I’m pretty introverted, so for me that’s definitely a generous estimate.) If 10 percent of them are close to your age, that’s around 50,000 people in a lifetime. Given that you have 500,000,000 potential soul mates, it means you’ll only find true love in one lifetime out of 10,000."@ Ok, so we started off looking for answers, & I guess we ended up with more questions!!...Have we opened our minds up a bit in the process? I'd say yes..I believe that Oasis'(a very famous British Rock band) lyrics are apt here... "Look into the wall of my mind's eye I think I know, but I don't know why The questions are the answers you might need..." That's all for now... Rock music...Some call it 'cacophonic drivel', some say it started off wanton behavior among the youth....But for me it's a source of wisdom, a source of solace in times of pain. I started listening to Rock music in the 90s, & I've been hooked ever since!!Rock lyrics are almost always what you make of them. To cite just one instance in favor of that argument, REM's 'The one I love', was the most frequently played song in most American weddings in the late 80s & early 90s. Now according to frontman, Michael Stipe, it was a 'break up song'!! The reason I'm writing this article, is to highlight how Rock music contains some really important life & relationship advice ( based on my interpretations)... "There are many things that I would like to say to you, But I don't know how...I said, maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me.."-Oasis (from the song 'Wonderwall', which appeared on the sophomore album 'Morning Glory') These lines express, quite aptly, the fragility & lability of a young lover. Young lovers will definitely relate to the fact that they have very hard time wording their feelings, to the object of their affection. It's perfectly normal to feel so, that doesn't mean you're a coward, or less of a human being. Love would lose, much of it's beauty if the vulnerability factor was taken out of the experience. The lines also highlight, how lovers cling to each other, to save themselves from listless existence. "Every new beginning, comes from some other beginning's end.."-Semisonic (from the song 'Closing time', taken from the album 'Feeling strangely fine') The closing lines, of this hugely popular song, asks us to be bold enough to start again. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly. It takes a lot of courage, to begin anew, but it's definitely worth it. Most people have a hard time ending things- whether it's relationships, jobs, associations, & these lines reiterate the fact that to begin afresh, we'll have to end things. "You won't know how well you've played, until you'e won.."-Embrace (from the song 'The Good Will Out', taken from the debut album of the band, named 'The Good Will Out') The Mc Namara brothers' debut album, was their magnum opus. These song lines ask us to have complete faith in ourselves. Keep your hopes up & give it all you've got. Roger Bannister ran the 4 minute mile, when it was deemed impossible. Christopher Columbus sailed to find new lands, when he was warned not to do so... "Everyone I know has got a reason to say, push the past away..."-Third Eye Blind (from the song 'Jumper', which appeared on the debut album 'Third Eye Blind') These lines highlight the fact that no matter how beautiful or painful the past is, it's always better to push it all a way. The Chinese sage Lao Tsu said:"If you're depressed, it's because you're dwelling in the past. If you're anxious. it's because you're worried about the future. Keep your mind always in the present & stay happy."These lines are one of my favorite ever, & I hope you can see why... "This world is gonna pull through, don't give up You've gotta reason to live, can't forget We only get what we give..."-New Radicals (from the song 'You get what you give', taken from the album 'Maybe you've been brainwashed too') New Radicals maybe hailed as just another 'one hit wonder', but these lines are teeming with wisdom. It asks us not to lose faith in the world we live in, & more importantly to remember that Karma is watching every single act of ours... "You've gotta roll with it, you've gotta take your time You've gotta say what you say, don't let anybody get in your way..."-Oasis ( from the song 'Roll with it', taken off the album 'Morning glory') Another set of really wise lyrics, by the Mancunian band, giving advise about how to face life. You have to go with the flow, speak your mind, & stop people from getting in your way. The lyrics show how to handle life with the smooth handle. All the success advice mustered by reading three sel-help books, is summarised well in these lines... This article is based on my interpretation of the aforementioned lines only. The whole song may not express the ideas expressed above....

Publisher: Book Faith India Genre: Literature/Fiction Price: Rs.195 Rating: 8/10   In this ever changing world of today, something remains the same. That constant thing is spending time, reading, enjoying and journeying with a great book. A great book can make you happy, make you realize the things that you ordinarily will miss and provoke your thought. Journey to The East written by Hermann Hesse is one such great book.  Hermann Hesse was born in 1877 and died in 1962. He was an essayist, a novelist, short story writer and poet. He had written some of the thought provoking books like Siddartha, Steppewolf, Narcissus etc. He was awarded the Nobel prize in Literature in 1946. The book "Journey to the East" was originally written in German under the title "Die Morgenlandfahrt" in 1932. The English version of the book came out in 1952.  The story of the book is about the Journey of the League to the East in which the narrator was also a participant. The League was a secret organization in which many famous personlities were members. The time of the journey was just after end of the world war.The narrator had to undergo tests to become member of the League. After getting membership of the League, the narrator took part in the journey. They went through many trials and tribulations as they moved forward in the journey. They traveled through Swabia, Moon Ocean, Butterfly Island and many more places. The narrator described the condition and pain of a desertor. There was a League member named Leo whom the narrator believed to be a servant. But in a certain place Leo disappeared. With the disppearance of the Leo the narrator journey was abandoned. But he didn't realize that he too was a desertor to the aims and objectives of the League. At the end, he realized that he was one of the desertor. Further, Leo was actually a leader of the League.  The greatness of the book lies in the way the author told the story. He has the ability to carry the readers wherever he likes. You will not realize this till you reach the end part. Not only that you will be made to undergo the confusion which the narrator had to endure and the pain for not able to complete the journey, and the futility of his attempt to write the history of the league. All this feeling you will be able to see vividly as you enjoy the story. Herman Hesse is in fact a master story teller.  Great packages often come in small size. This saying has been proven true by the book. The story is very short. It has only 93 pages to completely narrate the story. However, it is a treasure trove of wisdom. There are many quotes which are meaningful. However, the most interesting quote is as follow  "It is the law of service. He who wishes to live long must serve, but he who wishes to rule does not live long" The sentences use in the story are simple and the words utilize are common. Yet the wisdom and the story are out of this world. So, read it and enjoy.

"Divorce"- if we look at the etymology, it is derived from the Latin word "divortium" meaning 'separation' or 'dissolution of marriage'. We have seen an increase in the cases of divorce across the globe. In our traditional Indian society, it is still a social stigma. With the growing numbers of divorces owing to the changing socio-economic scenario, the societal mindset is also under the transition phase. It is dissipation of a relationship. The relationship might have been a loving and nourishing one so far till it could not stand the jolt of circumstantial changes. Or it could have been a bumpy relationship taking a toll on life each day and called for dissolution. In both cases, it is an emotional turmoil to go through. If the divorce involves only two adults who lived their life under one roof as couples, it is a bit easier. Adults can withstand the trauma and express it better. But if there is a child or children involved, it adds to the extra bumps on the already rough path. The child/children could have been a result off the love and intimacy or could have been an accident of marriage. In any case, sensible parents bear the responsibility of protecting their children and helping them sail through this tough wave holding their hand. I work as an educator and counselor. In last few years, I have come across children who were traumatized as the parents undergo the process of separation. Children of all ages suffer. The older ones make sense of the situation and can express themselves.  The younger ones are clueless. We see the stress manifesting in behavioral and emotional challenges.  Here are the few tips that I give to parents: 1. Do your groundwork and homework:  This is the first step and needs your precised planning -- What will you two do after getting separated?? Getting remarried???Are you moving to a different city or staying in the same place?? What are you future plans for your children--their custody, education etc...?? While taking a decision about the future of your offspring, consider a few suggestions that I proffer...... Avoid decisions in haste and impulse.  Look for long term practicality.... your child's custody, education and financial security.  When taking a decision, let your child be your priority and let your adult ego take a back seat. Certain melodramas in and out of court are bound to happen. Try to be sensible and keep it to minimal. If possible keep your children out of it.  2. Tell them and tell them together: Once you have decided and come to the mature decision to separate, tell your children. And tell them together as parents. Do not delay the talk if it is only your own discomfort. Overcome your inhibition and initiate the talk. It is wise to have a mental draft of your talk for it's better impact and efficiency.Your children trust you the most and hold you with highest regard. Do not let the children get the news from others or guess it from the whispered conversations and the hostile happenings around. This will leave them confused, betrayed and heartbroken adding more to their misery. Do the talking together as parents and show respect to each other's view in front of the children. Though you are getting separated as couple, you are still a team as parents. 3. Gentle tone, truthfulness and age appropriate talk: Have age appropriate talk with a gentle tone. Say it as a matter of fact. Blurt outburst or somber start might send an unnecessary alarm. Be truthful and do not underestimate the inbuilt lie detector that every child has. Do not lie -"It's okay and things will be fine". Rather you can say the truth -"We are all going through tough time. Even when we do not stay together as family,  Mama and Papa love you and will always be with you. We have to work together as a team during this crisis." The concern of children might vary depending on age. While teenage might have the concern of self-image among peers a preschooler might worry who is going to stay and take care of him/her. Stick to the age related concern and address them in a gentle way. Be precise, do not over preach or flood them with unnecessary things that they do not need to know. Make things simpler and do not complicate the tender mind. And please avoid passing the buck game in front of them or the blame game melodramas. Do not demean your spouse in front of his/her child. 4. Outlet for emotions: Do not block it It is always healthier to response in natural way and let the emotions pour out. Only avoid the high voltage melodrama which might crush the child's ego and self esteem. Also do not let the cheerleader in you surface up. Avoid cheering -"Strong boys/girls do not cry", "That was least accepted from a sensible guy like you" etc.. Give them a shoulder to cry and you also cry with them if you feel like. Let them have a feel that you are honest about your emotions and you also seek love and support from them. Physical expressions like hugs and kisses ease things out and let the bolted emotions pour. Acknowledge the emotion and do not tag it as "good" or "bad" 5. Warning signs and professional help: Kids are honest about their emotions. Most of them with emotional support from kins overcome the situation with initial hurdles and move ahead in life. But be cautious of the warning signs-- disturbed eating and sleep pattern, unusual bed wetting, too much of aggression or withdrawal etc.. Do not overlook these warning signs. They might indicate towards much deeper hurt or turmoil. Do not hesitate to seek professional help from therapists and counselors.  6. Seek support for yourself and for your kids: Family, friends, teachers and counselors can be helpful. You can also look for online help from groups of parents and kids going through same. Sharing lifts off some of your burden from your shoulder. Please take your child's permission before you share the news with his/her friends and school. Make them comfortable before you share the news. Your child might not be comfortable to share some of their concerns with you, especially the teenagers. In such situation, a pinch hitter from family ( a loving authority to child like grandparents) or a professional therapist can be used for help. You can ask your child to talk to this person when he/she is in doubt and needs somebody to listen. 7. Keep communication channel and parenting channels open: Do not seize the regular communication. Squeeze out time from your busy situation and visits to family court to spend with your children. Keep things normal as far as possible. Cast:-Scott Adkin, Rhona Mitra, Robert Knepper Producer:- Chris Lowenstein  Rating:-Never watched this movie   You must have seen bad movies, very bad movies, worse movies and worst movies. But you might have not seen the movie that mock the earlier version of the movie. Well, in these category of movies include "Hard Target 2". Directed by Roel Reine. He has directed movies like Death Race 2, Drifter, 12 Rounds 2:Reloaded, etc.  I don't know why the producer, director, crew members of HARD TARGET allowed the HARD TARGET 2 to be made. The original version was so surreal. It had the grace, the thrill, the enjoyment and above all, it entertained the audience. But the HARD TARGET 2 not only lack the above qualities, it is an illogical, poorly conceived and poor action movie. This movie is so illogical that I don't know whether I am watching a B Grade Bollywood movie or a Hollywood movie. Even a B Grade Bollywood movie has something to look forward in comparison to HARD TARGET 2.  The plot of the movie is that the Wes Baylor killed his friend in a martial art competition. He traveled to Thailand to overcome the grief of killing his friend. There he met Aldrich (the main villain) who offered him some cash prize to fight. Wes Baylor agreed and he reached Myanmar jungle where he realized that some rich people have made him the target. He runs for his life. Ultimately Wes emerged victorious after murdering the hunters.  The plot is filled with numerous weakness. The flaws can be listed as follows :- 1. How can a martial art fighter die in the ring while fighting his opponent? This needs serious explanation. 2. How the hero (Scott Adkins) end up in Thailand as a fighter? If he continues to to fight then he can still continue to fight in his homeland not in Thailand? Why are the Hollywood movies trying to depict Asia in the bad light? 3. Why do the rich people (read villains) wants to kill people? Are they insane or just murderer? I can't find logic in this. 4. Why Myanmar is shown in bad light by the movie? and so on.  Well, you need to know that making a movie is a hard and time consuming task. But that can't be excuse to make such a  worst than the worst movie to be released in the market.  The film was supposed to be an action film. The fight sequences were poorly executed and shown except two revolving kick by Scott. There is  nothing spectacular in the movie. The gun fight scene and fight scene were choreographed hurriedly. It seemed that the action director was in a hurry to complete the sequence.  I don't have nothing to say more than don't watch this movie even by mistake also. Lest, you will start to hate Scott Adkins for working in this movie.

I was woken up from our deep slumber around 3.30 am by the waiter of the hotel. He instructed me to be ready by 4.00 am. I did as I was advised. It was very dark and the air was cold, crisp and chilly. However, there were many vehicles leaving for the Tiger Hills. I was also going there to witness the magnificence of rising sun atop the well known Tiger Hill of Darjeeling. My transportation arrived. Tilak Thapa, the guide cum driver of Tata Sumo, was a affable man, handsome and very helpful. He has driven smoothly the vehicle for more than 8 km from the Darjeeling town to Ghoom area.  The vehicle (TATA SUMO) stopped suddenly when riding upward. A lady with a flask entered the back side of the vehicle and she sat till the vehicles come to a halt. Later, I realised that the the lady was a coffee seller whom Tilak Thapa had given a free ride. Such an act of kindness is very rare in today's world. When the vehicle stop I was in a sea of vehicles like car, sumo, innova, etc. I thought I would drown in the sea of people that have come to witness the sun rise. It was still very dark. The air was more chilly than before.  I had a hot cup of coffee. The taste of coffee was delicious in that freezing weather. After having coffee, I got the entry ticket. Showing the entry ticket I started to climb uphill for abut 10 minutes or so. When I reached the view point, I find that there were more than 3000 people. Some of them were perched on the gallery while other were standing below the gallery.  I was confronted with the decision whether to sit on the gallery or to stand in the front. I choose the later one. I could see the the light of the sun spread across the horizon. However, the sun has not risen. The light of sun was magnificent crimson red. It spread across the sky. A little farther to the left I could view the mighty Kanchenjunga. It was covered in pristine white snow. I had a great view of both the sunlight and the grand Kanchenjunga. Each of them was attracting my attention. I couldn't make a decision which one to watched and which one to ignore? During this time of dilemma, the sun had rises up. We could see the pure blood red colour upper portion of the sun. I was completely overwhelmed by the magic of the moments. It was a simply breathtaking. Then, it continued to rise, until the whole of the sun become visible to the spectator gathered there. The view of the rising sun was just other worldly. It was majestic.  The snow white Kanchenjunga has changed its colour just like a maiden changes its appearance when her lover approached Her. The colour of the Kanchenjunga was pale pink. Again, it blushed in front of the sunlight. Wow, what a view.  I had to return to my room with a smile on my lip and a joyful heart for witnessing a wonder of nature.

A marriage is union of two people and their families after an agreement with witnesses. Marriage can been performed either through court or the traditional way. It can be love marriage or arranged marriage. It is said that marriage is a very holy relation between two souls. There are two sides of the coin regarding marriage- a good side and a bad side of marriage. The series of incidents that happen before engagement and after marriage categories marriage as happier than the average marriages and not so happier than the normally a marriage is. It starts with the beginning of a wedding as the period between engagement and the wedding, with a feeling of happiness for the two persons before they are married but all this is also attached with a dark side of it, Dowry. Yes, you heard me right, dowry. Amidst the precious feelings of happiness and love between the two souls who will be married soon, there lies the dreaded fear and worrisome heart of the father of the bride to pay off the huge amount of the dowry that the groom's family demands in order to get them married at all. A warning is attached to it if the dowry is not paid then the wedding will not happen. It is a good fact to know that now-a-days, recently, a few people have stopped taking dowry from the bride's family but the fact still remains the same that majority of the people are still practicing the custom of the dowry. During the fixation of the weddings, the elderly people take the liberty of setting the destiny of the young lives and decide who they will marry but there are a few examples of couples, who are selecting their spouses with their family and their own consent. The old age dilemma which the couples face is the judgmental approach of their elder family members against love marriages still persists. If at all by chance, they accept it but not with hundred percent acceptance from the heart like it is expected by the couple to be. I know several wedded couples who were married the traditional way(arranged marriage) but they are not compatible and happy with their married life. I am stating the level of the happiness and unhappiness of couples, acknowledging the fact, that normally, all the couples are not happy in some point of their married life. I am referring to the percentage of unhappiness that is more than fifty percent which is the usually experienced unhappiness. Apart from this, couples face several problems in their married life, for example, domestic violence, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, financial exploitation, no right to take decisions related to real estate and stock market for women and dependency of wives on their husbands more than it normally should be. The good aspects of the wedlock are that we get a life partner to share our moments with, along with our own family, children, a lovely house and a committed relationship. We get a person we can love and receive love, at the same time, fight with them whenever we feel something is not right. Marriage takes an ugly side when there is high level of male dominance and abusive behavior in the relationship. As I am concluding, I wanted to say that I am neither with nor against the practice of marriage that everyone does. I have written the assessment I performed with keeping in mind, the observations and facts that I have gathered regarding several aspects of marriage. The crucial and the necessary elements of any relationship is trust, faith, love, commitment, feelings to care for, mutual respect, acceptance for the way the person is with the strengths and weaknesses of him or her, proper communication, the right methods of controlling the temper and monitoring the words that we speak while arguing and spending quality time together.

Vishakha Purohit created new article I lost my pet.
I remember very clearly three years ago when I bought my pet. Ever since that day, those white fluffy furs and cute little red eyes of my dear white mouse still hovers around my eyes and mind. The first time I saw her in the pet shop and instantly, I made the decision of bringing her home. I held her my hands and put her in the new house where she slept for three lovely years. Everyone at my home welcomed her as she sniffed every member in my family. I introduced her to all my friends, relatives and anyone who would come home. She made a lot of new friends as she was very calm in nature and caring. She was friendly and peaceful while she caressed my hands. I made a small amusement park for her to play in and a house made up of wood. I filled her house with sand once and she didn't like the presence of sand. Gradually as days passed by, she became a part of my family and now, I miss her. I have been in a companionship with my lovely white mouse for three years. The journey of those three years were very pleasant and memorable. I can not forget her. I remember everything about her with clarity. The way she used to move her whiskers and sniffing with her nose when she would sense some food. She would keep her small arms on my hand and feel secure besides me. It just a moment in our live that we are destined to experience whether we like it or not. A few hours ago, I lost her forever and she left me behind with eyes full of tears and a sad face. Although, it has just been few hours since she died but it is hard for me to digest this simple truth that she is no more. I will always miss her the way she used to touch my hands while she walking over me. Our fixed routine of feeding her twice a day and playing with her. But for the past two months, I have been very busy with my own schedule. It was not possible for me to give attention to her that she deserved. I feel guilty for not being with her in her last days. She looked fine and healthy, yesterday and all of suddenly, in the morning, she got sick. She was not able to walk properly and I was trying to help her but I failed . I feel guilty for not giving her time in her last two months but I couldn't anticipate that today would be her last day. She was not eating her food in the morning and I was trying to feed her. I felt something was wrong and I was trying to figure out ways to make her feel good and happy. Before I could do anything after researching about her illness. She met her last breathe and it was the first experience to watch any person die for me. I saw her dying in front of me and losing her consciousness. She was making weird noises to attract my attention when I would look away from her as if she was trying to say good bye before going away from me. While thinking about it when I am alone, I can't control my tears and sadness due to my great loss. While sitting in my room alone when I look at the small house I built for her to play in and I realize now that she won't be there to play in it. I wish I could bring her back.

Photography is an art of capturing the moments we want to save or we wish to see, it is also the art or practice of taking and processing photographs. It is also a hobby for many people and a profession for a few. It is said that an image is equal to thousands of words. With help of photography, we can capture our memorable moments of our life through which we can look back at those moments after taking photos of these moments. Whether, it is an event or birthday party, wedding, national and international events, family get-together and business meetings. Photos not only captures moments but also those minute detailed things that our naked eyes can't see. The word "photography" is a combination of the Greek root words "photo" that means "light" and "graphia" that means "writing" or "drawing". Thus, "photography" literally or in other words means writing or drawing with light. In 1839, Sir John Herschel coined the terms "photograph" and "photography" and established them in the academic and general vernacular. Where they have remained relatively unaltered since then and I was a very important event that occurred in the history of photography. "Photograph" the word indicates the product of photography and shares the same etymology as well. The word "photograph" was competed against other contenders before its acceptance which includes, for example, the helio-graph, the photo-gene and the sun-print. It was Sir Herschel's lecture on photography at the Royal Society in London in March of 1839 that appeared to have an effect on the history of photography that solidified the use of the term itself. Photography has impacted and influenced society by allowing people to see others who they would never have an opportunity to see otherwise, for example, famous personalities, business tycoons and politicians, presidents, celebrities and people from foreign countries. The advent or arrival of photography changed how the citizens behave. Photography is also largely responsible for the modern-day concept of celebrity by giving them recognition and fame in society. Before the invention of photography, it was impossible for one person to have millions of fans and followers worldwide like now-a-days, famous personalities and journalists do. Photography is also important for the society because it enables the diffusion of objective information through the visual capture of things as they really are rather than creating images with imagination. Photography allows people to accurately familiarize themselves with far-off landscapes and cultures. It also has the power to sway or influence public opinion through the presentation of emotionally moving images from all over the world. Photography is also said to be the art, process or job of taking pictures with a camera. Photography is the series of actions which involves light or electromagnetic radiations to record images of objects on various surfaces. Photography requires light to duplicate the real-life images that are being taken by the photographer. A camera is used to capture the image needed to produce, the recreation of the image onto photographic film. I realize everything in photography comes down to one word- 'vision'. Call it vision, imagination, or seeing, it all comes down to the same thing- the ability to envision a final result in your mind's eye, and then to make it so with your tools at hand. This is how photography is performed throughout the whole world globally. I personally, feel that photography is a wonderful invent for us and it allows us to see people, places and events we can never dream of. Photography also benefits the field of journalism.
