It kills the plants and trees that provide food and homes for many animals. Dachigam national park is located in Jammu and Kashmir. The Marsar Lake is found here from which flow the Dagwan River. Dachigam means ten villages. It is natural home of the endangered red deer hangul or Kashmir stag. Different kinds of animals like the jungle cat, leopard cat, otter, weasel, grey languor, black bear, yellow-billed blue magpie and many more have made these forests their home. During summer season, along with the green grass, a great variety of colorful flower grows and forms a beautiful carpet on the ground.
