Girls Scouts of the USA has gathered some data on Internet-based harassment of teenage girls. The organization released a study in mid-February The Net Effect: Girls and New Media that surveyed 1,000 U.S. girls aged 13 to 18. Thirty percent of them said they've been sexually harassed in a chatroom, Wired News reports, adding that the harassment included unsolicited pictures of naked men, demands for personal details like bra size, and requests for "cyber sex." Other key findings include
- of the girls who said they were harassed, only 7 percent reported telling their parents what had happened
- 30 percent said they "didn't tell anyone" about the incidents
- 21 percent said that such harassment "happens all the time and is no big deal"
- more than 80 percent said they feel safe online
- when asked how they know what behavior on the Net is safe or unsafe, 84 percent cited their own common sense; 51 percent cited learning from parents; 46 percent cited television and the media; 29 percent cited teachers; 29 percent cited friends; and 4 percent said, "Nothing is that bad online because it is not really real"
Everybody makes mistakes. Nobody is perfect. Very often we blame others when they do something wrong to us. We do not want forgive their mistakes.
Here is a story of a land-lord and his tenants.
One day a rich landlord had given his houses and land for rent. The landlord had to get so much money from his tenants. He called al this tenants and told them to clear up their debt immediately. A certain tenant had to pay him Rupees one lakh. He could not pay the debt as he had no money.
The landlord ordered to lock up al these rooms and put him into the jail along with his wife and children. The tenant ell up on his feet and bagged for mercy. ``Master,’’ he said, ``give me some more time and I will pay back all my debts’’. The land lord felt pity for him and had forgiven him all his debts. Now he need not pay anything at all. He was overjoyed!
But while going home, this tenant met one of his poor servants who had to pay him 100 rupees. He caught hold of this poor servant and demanded the money back at once.
The poor man begged pardon and knelt before him and said, ``Forgive and give me a few more days’ time and I will pay you back everything.’’
But he did not excuse him. He beaten him badly and tied him up on a tree. This tenant, who had received forgiveness from the landlord, could not forgive his poor servant for a small amount.
The news came to the landlord. He called the tenant at once before him and said to him, ``you an evil man I when you begged for mercy, I excused everything that you have to pay to me. Don’t you think that you too should show pity to someone else, as did to you?’’
The angry landlord ordered to torture him badly and put him into the jail.
This is the way that God will treat you if you do not forgive each other from the heart.
Forgiveness is a precious gift of God. When you forgive someone, a new relationship is created. Forgiveness brings peace of mind.
Forgiveness is the ability to pardon others whop offered you, who hurt you. Forgiveness improves our unity and togetherness.
- Forgiving hearts are great
- Forgiveness has a healing touch
- Forgiveness heals the wounds of the heart
- Forgiveness funs the enemies into friends
- Forgiveness always keep our minds fresh and beautiful
*If we refuse to forgive, God also will not forgive us. An unforgiving person will be unhappy always. He will become restless. He goes thinking of taking revenge. Consequently, anger, bitterness and doubts will destroy his personality. Remember the following great sayings.

Once there lived a rich man in the southern part of Kanyakumari. Had everything-big mansions or bungalows, luxury cars and some of servants to attend him. He kept all his money in a secret room in his house. He would go up to this room regularly every night, admire all his treasure and come out. He used to worship his money.
One day he said to himself, ``I am the richest man in the city. Let me enjoy’’. And he had rich meals and slept. That night he had a dream that the richest man in the city would die the next day.
He becomes restless. He called the best cardiologist of the city, also kept ready some of his security men. All his near and dear ones came to console him.
Hours passed by. He and his relations did not even close their eyes that night. But nothing happened that night. In the morning all of them laughed and started to go back to their own houses.
Then someone came and told them that a certain poor Youngman, Vikram had died of the heart attack last night. This Vikram was a sincere hard worker. He was dutiful, prayerful and helpful to one and all.
Yes, the richest man had died! The dream of the rich man was exactly correct! How?
Who is the richest before God? Who is the richest before man?
Man has own calculations and measurements. Man looks at the external shows. Man looks at someone and tells that he is really rich because he has lakhs and lakhs of rupees’ bank account; he has good and luxurious mansions and so on.
But before God, such things do not have any meaning. God looks at everyone with a different eye. The richest man is the one, who is at the service of others; who is honest; dutiful and helpful to others.
Thus Vikram was the richest man before God; where as he was the poorest in front of all his friends.
Remember this; the good God has always different yard-stick to measure our wealth.
God knows everything. God knows what we are. God is pleased with our internal qualities such as sincerity or honesty, helpfulness, dutifulness, and so on.
A great philosopher, Nathan C. Schaffer tells in these lines:
`` At the close of life, the question will not be how much you have got, but how much you have given. That is the main.
Not how much you have won wealth, but how much you have done. What is it?-well.
Not how much you have earned and saved, but how much you have sacrificed. It was helped.
Not how much you were honored, but how much you have served.’’
Hence let us store riches in heaven. Earthly riches are temporary. The ever lasting riches are love and service.
