In the interior chambers of the palace, Prahallada the young prince was chanting ``Om Namaha Narayana!’’
``Don’t take Narayana’s name anymore. Your father has proclaimed himself God of this kingdom. He alone is to be worshipped,’’ said his grandmother.
``I have known only one God since the time I was born. Why, even while in my mother’s womb I have heard no other name being worshipped but his. How can I know forget all that and call my father God? Don’t worry, grandma,’’ said Prahallada. ``Lord Narayana will take care of everything.’’
The emotion of love is a divine gift to man. When it is controlled and given the proper direction, man attains the sum mum bonum of life. Cutting asunder all worldly bondages, he can cross the ocean of samsara and enjoy divine bless. Woridly love when directed towards and offered to God becomes devotion. A heart given to the world may break at any moment, such as at the loss of a beloved one. Love offered to God grows day by day, expanding our heart till it reaches his holy feet.
Sri Krishna says in the Bhagwat Gita; ``whoever offers me with devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water, I accept that, the pious offering of the pure in heart.
To develop love for god one must cultivate definite attitude towards him. It is called bhava in Sanskrit. There is a popular sloka.
One attains knowledge as well as vision of God by cultivating a proper longing for the. In Narada Bhakti sutras, Narada has mentioned eleven types of such moods. Not that there are only eleven types, but there are as many possibilities as there are human relation ships. Narada points out that even if they appear different; they are all manifestations of love which in itself is only one.
The gopis of brundavanam and mirabai practiced Mathura bhava; that is, they loved lord Krishna as their husband. Dhruva loved the lord as his father. The sages practice shanty bhava, the peaceful attitude by practicing regular meditation and japa.
Indian monuments
Indian has many beautiful monuments
A monument is a building or thing that is of historical importance.
In the desert state of Rajasthan there is only one hill station: mount Abu. On this beautiful, green land stand the famous Dilwara temples. These temples are made of marble and are around a thousand years old but their beauty has not faded.
There is an interesting story about one of the temples.
While the main temples were being built, there were pieces of marble left over. The king asked the men to throw away these pieces.
The workmen decided to use the pieces which were left over and construct another temple with it. They would have to do this work in any free time that they had.
They cut short their time for rest and worked when they should have been relaxing. They carved the marble with care and love though they were not paid to do this work.
After a lot of hard work, they completed their temple and it was truly beautiful. Some people believe that this is the most beautiful template of them all.
The beautiful carved marble temples of Dilwara in Mount Abu are the finest examples of Jain temples in India. Monuments aren’t just buildings. Like the Dilwara temples, each monument has a story to tell. They are a reflection of the country and its people. They must be respected and protected. They were built with care and love. We must take care of them and not spoil their beauty.
Take pin our monuments and the spirit of our people
Leaning tower of Pisa is a marble bell –tower at Pisa, Italy. Even thought the tower has been leaning since it was under construction, it has stood for hundreds of years, despite the fact it looks as if it will fall ant minute.
The tower wad begun over 800 years ago, in 1174, and completed in 1350 in 1350. After the first of its eight stories were built, the ground slandered sinking, and the tower began to lean. It has continued leaning –a millimeter each year-and now leans from climbing its 300 winding steps to the bell tower to view Pisa and the surrounding countryside.

God is our inner controller. You can neither do anything nor certain any thought without his knowledge. He is the constant witness not only of each and every activity of yours ut even of every thought arising in your mind.
God is the ruler of the entire sphere as well guardian of the entire universe. He is watching every action. Always remember that god is a true well- wisher of yours. There is none else who is such a great and interested friend.
If you develop faith in the benevolence of God, You will be rid of all sin and suffering, all restlessness and agony and attain happiness. The God himself will take the whole responsibility of your well-being.
Faith means an important and ardent belief in the values, norms, traditions, religious sanctity and social customs. Shabri’s faith in Lord Rama, Pandavas faith in lord Krishna, Mira’s faith in Gopal, Prahlad’s faith in Narayana are the glaring examples of true faith in God. This sort of faith can be a source of strength and energy. Here is a story.
Once in a village there lived a farmer. His name was Veresh. He had a fruit orchard. After every harvest, as a rule each farmer had to offer best fruits to the king of the country. So, one day Veresh picked fresh ripe mangoes from his orchard and gathered them in a basket. Then he went to tell his wife that he was going to give the mangoes to the king.
Veresh’s wife said, ``Keep the mangoes for the children. Take some good grapes for the king instead.’’ Veresh did the same. He kept fresh grapes in the basket and went to offer them to the king.
Veresh reached the king’s court. He saw that the king was in a playful mood. When Veresh gave the basket of grapes to the king, he picked one grape and threw it at Veresh. Then he threw one at his nose, another at his chest and one hit his head.
Each time the king threw a grape at Veresh, he would say, ``God is merciful’’. The king kept hitting herpes at Veresh for a long time and Veresh kept repeating the same, at last the king asked Veresh for its reason.
Veresh replied, ``your Majesty, I am thanking god. He is merciful. Today I was bringing mangoes for you. But my wife said that I should take these grapes instead. If it had been those mangoes and if you had thrown them at me, I would really have been hurt. So, I say God is merciful.’’
Hearing this king realized that his act was hurting Veresh and God was protecting Veresh.
God is prepared to help you as your greatest friend who seeks no return from you. When faith in God develops in you, you will feel that god himself is shouldering the entire responsibility of your well- being.
