*Whenever our country is competing in sports, business or any contest, or fighting a war, we pray for our country’s victory. When it does emerge victorious, we are proud and feel happy at its achievements. This is because we love our country.
*We have a sense of belongingness and take pride in it. Hence, we call our country our mother land. We give our country the same love and respect as ewe give to our mother.
*Our freedom fighters struggled selflessly to make our country free. Our soldiers keep our country safe. They are ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of their motherland. All of us cannot be like them but we can make our own contribution to the country’s well-being and prosperity.
In this endless universe, man is like a small atom. But he passes something very wonderful. The quality of intelligence in man enables him to understand the marker of 6the universe. The question is: who is creator of this universe? No doubt, it is God. The wonderful handiwork of god is seen in the colors of the butterfly, in the colors of the rainbow, in the high mountains and in their snow –covered peaks, in the flowing rivers, in the trees swaying in the breeze, in the blossoming flowers. The sun, the moon, the stars, the earth, the ocean all reflects God’s grace and glory.
We thank our friends, parents, teachers, etc. for their favors for us. But how many times do we thank God, our Marker, for all His blessings?
We should remain oblige and thank God for this wonderful world that He has given to us. We must thank God for many precious gifts that he has given to us as well. How should we express our gratitude towards Him? The only way to express our gratitude towards God is to pray to Him. We must pray to him every day. We must pray to Him: ``O God, you have neither a beginning nor an end. You are omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. O God, give us the power to love every creature. Grant us the strength to respect our elders. Give us a heart that helps the distressed and helpless human being. O God, make me active and fit sure; pious, punctual, polite and pure. O God, forgive me hen I am unkind and help me to forgive those who are unkind to me’’.
Prayer is exhaling the spirit of man and inhaling the spirit of God. Gandhi used to say, `prayer is my strength with which to work and face life.’’
Prayer is not a lazy substitute for work. It is not a short cut to skill or knowledge. We should always remember-`` God helps those who help themselves’’. A prayer makes a man meek and humble. We should pray to God with great devotion and reverence. Remember, a prayer is only a man’s privilege in the universe. Animals can’t do that. A prayer makes a person not only aware of these virtues but also of his defects and failures.
In Gita, it has been said that we must dedicate our actions to `God’. Never feel proud even for a while of having achieved something. This gives rise to your ego and remembers. This ego will definitely make you forget got which would be a sin. You should always keep in your mind as food is necessary to keep the body healthy and strong. In the same way prayer is needed to keep our soul good and pure.
Anger is one letter short danger. Anger is a deadly enemy of human being. We must win over anger and to be patient and tolerant. Patience and tolerance lead to family, social and national integration.
Patience is a great quality which is not possessed by every person. Very few people have such kind of quality. It is an excellent quality to bear a hardship without any irritation. A patient person does feel provoked at ordinary things, he thinks over the problems with a cool mind. A person who does not have any patience becomes short –tempered. Anger is one letter short of danger. Anger is deadly enemy of all of us. So, if we want to achieve success in life, we must win over anger and be patient and tolerant.
`` Everybody in the morning narrated the incident of the demon. When lord Krishna showed them the demon in the size of a housefly, everyone was astonished. Lord Krishna told them that the demon was nothing else but the anger it self. He told them that their anger had increased the size of the demon but patience had reduced his size’’.
Don’t feel upset when a difficulty comes before you. Instead, face it and try to solve it with patience. Remember, reverses or defeats have no place in the dictionary of a patient person.
It is not easy to develop the habit of patience and tolerance. It requires a lot of control over one’s passion. Every person is not able to do it.
Remember, never allow yourself to develop the feeing of hatred in your minds for anyone. No human being is good or bad, only his good or bad qualities make him good or bad. So do keep in your mind that –hatred begets hatred.
Lord Buddha had a great patience and he was famous for his quality. On the strength of his patience, he succeeded in changing the hearts of several cruel persons.
Jesus Christ, the founder of Christianity, was nailed to a cross. He accepted the fructification with patience. To day the number of his followers is very large.
You always must remember that tolerance is a great virtue and helps us to maintain our family integration, social interaction and national integration. Be caution, tolerance is the weapon of brave persons and not of cowards. If tolerance reaches at height of weakness then it is called cowardice. If the activities of a person are extremely injurious to society it is better to give him punishment.
All ways pray too God to grant you very much courage to be patient and tolerant.
