a story....
Munku.........
Munku was very unwell today. It didn’t eat anything in the morning. Soon he began vomiting and soon I also noticed presence of blood in its vomit. It was showing symptoms of heavy pain in his stomach and looking towards me perhaps with the hope that I would be of some help in relieving its pain. Munku was my pup that I had brought from Delhi from a friend.
Munku was three months old and very sweet. My children loved to play with Munku. They were also sad and worried to see Munku in pain. I took Munku to the nearby veterinary clinic where I was told that it was suffering from Parvo virus infection.
They put Munku on intravenous fluids that were necessary to maintain hydration and health status in Munku’s body. During that time also Munku was still vomiting as well as showing loose motions. I was worried to see blood in its vomit and stools. It was also given antibiotics in fluids and doctor was thinking of blood transfusion too, if the need be.
By evening, Munku was still vomiting but loose stools were controlled. It didn’t show any appetite. I had an appointment from the vet for next day and came back home. Munku was now showing some decrease in the frequency of vomition now. Whole night we couldn’t sleep properly as Munku was in pain. We kept Munku that day in our bedroom itself in a box with a cushion inside. His stools and vomits foul smelled but we couldn’t keep that poor creature away from our eyes.
Next morning also Munku was taken to vet clinic for the treatment, this routine went on for three days but now Munku was showing much improvement.
Today I was very happy to see Munku showing an appetite. He took a small quantity of chicken soup. Next morning the vet asked me to continue with some tonics and be careful with the preventive vaccination at the proper time in future to avoid such deadly infections.
