Rose buds sprouting out

thorns erect like body guards

try to save them of

insecty bombards

but the tiny creatures attack and attack

little holes appear

on petals and leaves

thorns keep watching

can't even pierce

insects irritate

tease and fly

try to touch the heights of sky

bud becomes flower

blooms n blooms

for weeks together

attracts everyone

then petals fall down

and flower is gone

still standing erect, the guard thorn

to wait for another bud to sprout

see bud flower and flower fall out!
