An ordinary man is always drowned in the dregs of sorrow due to his pessimistic attitude and worries. The main reason of our sorrows and dissatisfaction is negative thinking. However the fact is, apart from some exceptions we have more joyous moments in our life than sorrows. But due to our nature we focus more on sorrows than on joy. This proves that negative mind rejects everything.
Once a wise man went to watch the movie “Sant Tukaram”. The movie has a very heart rendering picturisation of the hardship that Sant Tukaram faced during his life time. When the man was asked about his opinion regarding the film, he replied that the movie is very sentimental, with full of sorrows and worries. To this the asker said that Sant Tukaram faced the sorrow for 45 years and you have seen it in just 3 hours, so it sounded very dreadful. This story suggests that problems are part of life. The problems which were present five years back are not present today. Similarly the problems of today will not be there tomorrow. In brief, problems will never remain constant. Hence they should not be made big issue.
Once a man went to a saint and started narrating his worries. The saint gave him to drink a glass of water with two tablespoon of salt dissolved in it. The man made faces while drinking the salty water. The saint than added some more water in the solvent and gave him to drink in a bigger glass. This water tasted better that the previous solvent. This proves that when the size of the container was increased, saltiness was decreased. In the same way, if we make our mind broad than the brunt of sorrow will decrease to a large extent.
Very often it is seen that married couples staying together for so many years quarrel in their old age, which is not at all acceptable. They should accept the fact that now we cannot stay away from each other then let us shake hands. Man grows by age and education. But if he grows with thoughts and sensibility, his life can be happier.
