60 seconds x 60 minute x 24 hours= 86,400
Suppose there was a bank that gave you Rupees 86,400 each morning and then cancelled whatever you failed to use. What would you do? It would be advisable to draw out every single paisa each day lest it go waste. Well, there is a bank of his kind. It is called time. Every morning God gives you 86,400 seconds. From this treasure whatever you fail to use or a good purpose, he rules it out as a loss for you. You can never get back the time you lost the previous day. It would be very sad indeed, if you lost even one golden hour with sixty diamond minutes. They are gone forever. Therefore make the most of the treasure of each moment. Watt you do today when there is nothing special to do, reveal how sensible you really are.
Time is given to us it by bit. The whole year is not given to us at once. The year is made up of fifty-two weeks. Each week has seven days. Each day has twenty-four hours. Each hour has sixty minutes. Each minute is given to us one after the other. When we allow time to pass by sitting idle, it is wasted and we can never get it back. We must not squander time. Life is made up of each second. We should use this treasure by doing something constructive.
There is time for everything. We must keep some time for work, because it is the price of success. We must also keep some time for thinking, because it is the source of power. We must keep some time for playing, because it is the secret of good health, reading because it is the foundation of wisdom, and praying to God as he has made us. We should also reserve some time for love, affection and care, because life is not worth living without these emotions. We must keep some time or our friends, because they are the source of our happiness. Time once lost is gone forever.
We lose precious time because we do not a time –table. Time is also lost when students do things which they are not supposed to do. When they read story books in class while the teacher is teaching, the time allotted for studies s neglected. Time is also lost when young people indulge in bad habits.
Let us resolve to seize every opportunity and use our time fruitfully. It is better to do something and fail in the deed than try to do nothing and succeed.
*Footprints on the sand of time are never made by sitting idle.
