This is basically made mostly in andhra. Every non-vegetarian people like this one. They eat with ghee and mango pickle with it. This is a really tasty curry it will take less time to prepare so every women who is working in office makes this curry so easy. This can be made of two ways by adding tomato or by adding red chillies. In every function this curry will take a major part.
Ingredients:
- Dal – 2 cups
- Onion- 2 chopped
- Ginger- 2 inch chopped
- Green chilies- 6
- Tomatoes- 4 (chopped)
- Turmeric powder- 1tsp
- Oil- 4tbsp
- Salt as per tastee
- Coriander leaves for garnishing
- Dry red chilies- 2
- Mustard- 2tsp
- Cumin seeds- 2tsp
- Garlic- 8 cloves (minced)
- Ghee- 2tbsp
procedure:
We must cook the dal in a rice cooker until 3 whistles and check wheter it is ok or not if it is not cooked then wait for another 2 whistles.
take a pan and add oil to it and heat the oil.
Now add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic and red chillies. Cook them for some time.
Now add ginger and green chilies to the above added ones.
Cook these iems for a minute and add tomato pieces to it. By adding some salt to these tomatoes makes you to cook tomatoes quickly.
Now add turmeric powder to the curry and cook it for 4 minutes.
now take this cooked dal in to the pan and add one cup of water. Then keep medium flame and cook it for another 5 minutes.
Now add ghee for taste which makes you so much tasty.
And garnish this with the coriander leaves and serve with the hot rice and mango pickle.
This is the Yummy Andhra Tomato pappu. This must be served only when the rice is hot so that it is very tasty. This is so much fast making curry with less time to cook and to serve to realtions.
