Ingredients ;
1. Onions 2 big
2. Tomatoes - 1/2 kg
3. Green chilies -6
4. Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch
5. Cashew nuts - 2 tblspns
6. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
7. Black gram dal - little
8. Sugar - 1/3rd tsp
9. Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
10. Red chili powder according to taste
11. Roasted gram powder
Method :
Cut 2 big onions and 1/2 kg tomatoes. Slit 6 green chillies inot 2. Heat oil in pan season with mustard seeds, black gram dal and onions, fry well till onions change colour, add cut tomatoes and fry till skin comes out. Now pour little water with salt and sugar. Allow to boil till it thickens, add garam masala, red chili powder and roasted gram powder, and add cashewnuts paste and cook for a minute and remove from fire. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Idlis and chapatisVariation : Omit green chilies increase red chili powder , add ginger garlic paste while frying onions serve with fresh cream on top.
