i)Basic inormation about movie
Hi friends in this article let us discuss about the storyline of the one of the best an touching movie that makes us cry, "The Kite Runner".
The film starts at San Fransisco, California in 2000 when Amir Jan and his wife Soraya were in a park.After that they go to their apartment and they found a parcel was found near their door.After that Amir Jan carries the parcel and both of them were nervous and exited.Then they open the Parcel and the parcel contains the book which Amir Jan wrote and it is titled as "A Season For Ashes" and both of them were happy to see and they say that it is like their baby.
After that Amir Jan gets a call and he finds that it was Rahim Khan who was calling from Peshawar,Pakistan.Then Rahim asks Ajmer to come to Pakistan and then go to Kabul.Amir first hesitates and says that it was not the good time.But Rahim said , "Its a very bad time but you should come" and after that he says this famous line
"There is a way to be good again"
This is the a positive note as Rahim says that there are unfinished jobs and someone he must meet there in Kabul.But Rahim didn't mention the exact reason and he asked to come back.
Then Amir looks the window and then the film goes to the flashback, to Kabul,Afghanistan in 1978, 22 years ago.There a group of young boys were flying kite and there Amir was sitting and Hassan was asking others for the string to fly the kite.Later one of the kite was cut and it starts to fly.
Now Hassan starts to run and he knew the way in which the kite will fly and he reaches that place directly and gets that kite.After Hassan gets that kite he was asked by Amir how he was able to find it and many conversation takes place which shows Hassan was ready to do anything which Amir asks for and these scenes in the film shows how they both were best friends.
After that the scene goes to Amir's house and Amir was a so of the wealthy person,Baba.There it was shown that Baba was giving a cheque to one of the charity association and along with him his friend Rahim Khan was also found.Meanwhile Amir and Hassan returns home and this time it is revealed that Hassan was the servant's son.After that Amir goes inside and finds that and Baba and Rahim were discussing about him.
Then Rahim goes inside Amir's room and he finds that Amir was writing something.Amir says him that he was really sad as he feels that his father hates as he killed her mother,i.e he feels that he was virtually responsible because his mother when she gave birth to Amir.
But Rahim asks him not to think like that and then he asks Amir to give his paper.Amir said that he was writing some story and also said that Rahim won't like it.But Rahim said that he will read the story and will tell the feedback soon.This was vey encouraging for Amir because till now no one other than Rahim was not interested in reading his story.
Next morning both Hassan and Amir were sitting outside and during that time Hassan was asked to uses his slingshot to beat a dog and after that Amir says that he has got money and after that both of them went to a cinema theatre for the film "The Magnificent Seven" and enjoyed the movie.After finishing the movie they were very happy and were discussing about the characters in that movie.
At that time a group of bad boys under Assef threatens to beat Hassan , because Hassan belongs to Hazara ethnicity and Assef don't like Hazaras.They threatens to beat him and at that time Hassan uses a slingshot and threatens he will beat Assef if he doesn't leave them.Aseef and his boys were frightened and they left the place thinking in mind that they would get another chance.
Next day,Amir got a letter from Rahim Khan and Rahim appreciated him by mentioning "Bravo".Amir explains Hassan that it was an Italian word meaning "genius".The Amir explains the story and according to the story there was a poor man who gets a lamp and the gets gold for every tears she.So in the climax of that story, that poor man kills his wife and he starts crying and he gets lot of gold.Hassan interrupted and said if he wants to cry he could have used onion!!!!
Next morning Amir calls Hassan and gives him a birthday gift as it was Hassan's birthday.He presented him a sling shot which was made in USA.After the both of them goes and Amir writes in tree "Amir and Hassan, the Sultans of Kabul".Both were happy and they found that Baba was coming there.In the image below you could see a tree branch behinds them where it was written "Amir and Hassan, the Sultans of Kabul"
Baba asked them to get inside the car.When Amir was about to sit next to Baba, he asked Hassan to come and sit next th him as it was his birthday tjat day.It was this incident which slowly started to change his bind and this marked the beginning of brek of their friendship , as he couldn't tolerate his father to show kind to Hassan.
Then all goes to a kite shop and Baba asks Hassan to take any kite he wish and this also made Amir angry.The Hassan finally selects a kite and that night all of them in Baba's house were discussing about the kite tournament which was about to take place next day and Baba also reminded that, when he was young he also won that kite tournament.
Next morning the kite competition starts and Amir with the help of Hassan won the competition as he was able to cut his opponents kite and able to win the tournament and all appreciatd him.
Hassan is the "KITE RUNNER" for Amir and that's why the film name is called after this.After winning this competition, Hassan goes and finds the kite which Amir has cut and this time he was caught by Aseef and his bad boys.
But this time Aseef didn't lose his chance he he also goes to the extent of giving Physical tortures to Hassan and this scene is responsible for creating lots of controversies.At one point Asif also gave chance to Hassan that if he gives the kite he will not hurt him.
But Hassan said that he will not give this kite as this was the present to his best friend Amir and he suffered.Meanwhile Amir somehow finds where Hassan and he also watches the tortures that Hassan suffered but he didn't try to stop it.
Amir didn't say anything to his father thinking that he might think how brave Hassan was and also felt that his father may not like him as he didn't stop Aseef when they torured him.So slowly the relation started to break and both Amir and Hassan didn't speak for one week.But there was no mistake from Hassan's point as he was totally unaware why Amir was doing like this.
Amir also tries to avoid him, by asking his father why can't they have new servant but Baba was very angry and said Ali(Hassan's father) and Hassan will never leave this place and they will stay together.This also mad Amir angry as his father was so affectionate towards Hassan than him.
So, one day Amir goes to the extent of hiding his watch under Hassan's bed, when Hassan was not there and he complained his father that Hassan stoled his watch.Hassan also accepted for the crime he didn't commit.But evennow Baba was so cool and said he will forgive Hassan.But Ali said that he and his son will are moving and will never comeback again.
Meanwhile the story moves to December 1979, where the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan and Baba felt that he will be captured as he was against Russia and Communism.He along with Amir left the city and asks Rahim to take care of his house.Baba pays 10,000 for getting him and Amir to cross the border to Pakistan.
Then they go in a truck along with some other refugees in a truck and on the way the truck was stopped by the Soviet soldier.There the soldier was asking for a girl in that refugee.Baba couldn't tolerate this and he was exchanging words with that Soldier.Meanwhile the higher officer comes to the spot and he clears that place and the problem was solved and they reached Peshawar,Pakistan.After 6 months they got Visa to USA and bot of the left for USA.
There they started their new life at Fermont, California , but they were living in an apartment that was not luxurious.But he had a luxurious life back in Afghanistan. After 9 years, in 1988 Amir received his degree in a community college and Baba celebrated this in a bar with others.
Usually Baba and Amir sells used goods at a flea market at San Jose.There Amir meets Soraya and Soraya was the daughter of Genereal Taheri, who was also an Afghan.Meanwhile Amir said his father that he was not interested in Doctor job,which Baba wants Amir to do, and he wants to be a writer.
Soraya was very much interested in Amir writings and slowly this relationship developed into love.Meanwhile Baba was not feeling well and he was admitted in the hospital and after getting discharged from the hospital, Amir asks Baba to get permission form General Taheri for the marriage.
General Taheri also accepted ann Soraya also revealed a secret that earlier he was living with anotherAfghan man inspite of his opposition from her father.But Amir said it was not a problem and they both got married.Baba become very ill and he died.Both Amir and Soraya finds that they can't have child.
Now the flashback gets over and Amir decided to go to Pakistan to meet Rahim.But Amir initially hesitated when Rahim said "There is a way to be good again", which he though that Rahim was mentioning how he framed Hassan as a thief or he was mentioning for leaving his friend alone.
There he meets Rahim and also gave the book, which he wrote.Rahim was happy to see that Amir has thanked him in his book as he was the first one to read hsi stories and that inspired him.
Then Rahim says that while he was in Kabul in Baba's house he was seriously ill and he had to come to pakistan for medical treatment.He also said that he managed to bring back Hassan and his family.Hassan was married and he had a wife called Farzana and son Sohrab.
He also said that Ali was killed in a land mine.Rahim also said that one day Taliban came to the Kabul house and whe Hassan said that he was a care take, Taliman felt that he was lieing as he was a Hazara shot him and his wife and killed them.
Rahim also infroms that one week before Hassan's death, Hassan sent a letter to Rahim and asked him to give to Amir when Rahim meets Amir.He also explains clearly that Ali was sterile and he can't give birth to anyone and he opens the secret that Hassan was his brother and so Sohrab his nephew and he needs to go to Kabul and save his nephew who was an orphanage as his parents died.
Rahim also said his father lied to Amir so that he could maintain his prestige and honor.Rahim also said that he had arranged a good driver,Farid, who is also a good person and can take Amir to Kabul and help him in getting Sohrab and return safely.
So after this Amir starts to read the letter from Hassan and in the letter Hassan wrote,
"ln the name of God,the merciful, the compassionate,Amir agha, with my deepest respects. My wife and son
and l pray this letter finds you in fine health,and in the light of God's good graces.I'm hopeful that one day I
will hold one of your letters in my hand sand read of your life in America.l am trying to learn English. It's
such a tricky language.But one day, agha. I miss your stories.
I've included a picture of me and my son, Sohrab.He's a good boy.Rahim Khan and l taught him how to read
and write,so he doesn't grow up stupid like his father.And can he shoot with that slingshot you gave me!But I
fear for him, Amir agha.
TheAfghanistan of our youth is long dead.Kindness is gone from the land,and you cannot escape the killings
Always the killings, dream that God will guide us to a better day. l dream that my son will grow upto be a
good person,a free person,an important person.l dream that flowers will bloom in the streets of Kabul again
and music will play in the samovar houses, and kites will fly in the skies. And I dream that someday you will
return to Kabul to revisit the land of our childhood.lf you do, you'll find an old faithful friendwaitingfor you.
May God be with you always."

Really if you have watched the entire movie and after hearing this letter surely for most of tears will knock our eyes.Truly this is the one of best scene of the movie.After reading this letter he calls his wife and says the entire story and they also decided to adopt Sohrab as their son.
After that Amir goes in a jeep with Farid with a faked beared to Afghanistan and there he finds the entire situation was changed and the city was destroyed very badly.Then they go to the orphanage home and the condition was very pathetic there.
The owner of that orphanage home, managed to get foods for the children with the help of the money he gets from the Taliban who gives money after taking some of the children from that home.Amir showed the photograph he had , but that owner was pretty confident that the boy was not there and the owner said that the Taliban might have taken that boy and if they want tat boy they can deal with a person whom they can meet in the football ground.
So Amir and Farid started to go to the football ground and on the way Amir stops the truck when he saw his house.Then he enters his house and also he finds a tree where he wrote "Amir and Hassar, the sultans of Kabul", and he really felt bad for Hassan.
Then they reach the football ground and during the halftime period a group of Taliban entered the ground with a woman and a speech was given by a man, which the orphanage home owner, and according to that speech this woman against Muslim and the women is stoned to death.
After that Amir with the help of Farid gets an appointment with that man and when he went to his house he was suprised to Assef (He also came to the ground along with the man who gave speech) and Assef found that Amir had a faked bear and he also said he wont said Sohrab with him.
Sohrab was also there in the scene and when Amir was not willing to go out of Afghanistan without Sohrab, quarrel started and Aseef started to beat Amir. When the situation was critical and when Amir was on the received side, Sorhab used his slingshot(his father also is an expert in using the slingshot) and hit Aseef.
Meanwhile when Aseef could recover both Amir and Sohrab managed to escape form that place in a car, where Farid was waiting for the.All of them leaves Afghanistan and they reach Pakistan and when they go to Rahim house he was not there and the neighbour said he left and wont come hereafter
The next day when Amir woke he found Sorhab was missing and he searches the entire town and founds that he was not there and when he came back dejected for losing Sorhab, he was suprised to see Sorhab was sitting in the stairs.He also shoed Sorhab the photograph which Hassan send to Amir.
After that they reach America and they were received by Amir's wife Soraya, who was eagerly expecting for Sorhab.Then in the house Soraya father General Taheri was unhappy about this adoption of a Hazara boy and he asked what he will say when others ask who this boy.At this time Amir says the entire story and asks the general to say the true story to whoever ask him about Sorhab.
The next morning Amir and Soraya takes Sorhab to the park where many people were flying kite.It was at this scene the author this novel "The Kite Runner", Khaled Hosseini does a cameo role as a doctor.When Amir finds Sorhab was watching the sky which was filled with kites he immediately buys a kite and started to fly that kite.
Then he also defeats other person who was flying kite and he also said he used his father's technique to cut his opponent kite.After winning he runs after the kite which he has cut and during this time he says to Sorhab the words, which was previously said to Amir by Hasaan,"For you, a thousand times over"

Hi friends in this article let us see about a Science fiction Thriller film "DISTRICT 9" which was released this year and its also a blockbuster.When you see this movie for the first time you might feel that this is a documentary film.But as you watch the movie it moves very fast and it is also a thrilling entertainer.
This film can also be seen as the the virtual war between the humans and the Aliens, but actually the humans tried to dominate the Aliens as they treat them very badly.They allot a separate camp for them and this camp where all the aliens live is called as "DISTRICT 9".
Actually this film is based on the short film "Alive in Joburg" and this was also directed by Neill Blomkamp and it was released in 2005.This short film was produced by Simon Hansen and Sharlto Copley.
Actually this District 9 is located at Johannesburg, South Africa.These Aliens are given accommodation here for more than 20 years by the Government and also this area is not accessible to the human beings.
In this film, they have mentioned that a space ship came to that region in 1982 and they couldn't go to their planet as one of their command module was accidentally dropped and they couldn't find that module.So the Alien had no option but to stay in Earth.
More than 18 lakhs Aliens were there in the District 9 and they were living in that camp for around 20 years.One important thing about the movie is that, it also shows how a friendship was developed between a human(the hero) and the Alien.The climax of this film also reveals that we might have to wait for the next part to come.
The make up and graphics which are used for the aliens are excellent and really the way in which the movie was taken is brilliant.Actually the story of this movie is about the problem which arises, when the Aliens are about to be transported to the other camp, which is 240 kms out of Johannesburg, and the new camp is called as District 10.
Multinational United(MNU) takes care of all these aliens and they appoint a new officer Wikus van de Merwe and on 9th August, 2010.
According to this new operation they gave notice to all Aliens, and by that notice all Aliens are given 24 hours time to support the MNU for the transportation to the new camp.
The most important part of this movie is that there is a research department in the MNU, and they capture some of the Aliens and they treat them very cruelly for their research process and they also test them by burning the aliens.Really all the scenes are vary natural and particularly the spaceship which was floating in the sky for 20 years looks very real and the graphic work was also great.

Cast Information
i)Sharlto Copley as Wikus van de Merwe and he is the officer in the MNU.He was also assigned the chief for the operation of evacuating all the Aliens from the District 9.His character is very important because, with this character the director explains the friendship between a human and the alien.
Shalto gets infected during the transportation operation of the aliens from the District 9 and slowly he starts to transform into an alien.Sharlto also done a small role in Neill Blomkamp's short film "Alive in Jborg".Apart from being a director Sharlto is also Producer and a Director.
Sharlto is the main character of this film and he is the one who travels throughout the film.A the beginning of the film, for first half an hour, the film looks like a documentary as he was being followed by a cameraman all the time but late in the film his character was highlighted.
ii)The next character is very interesting as he has contributed in multiple ways for this filmm and he is Jason Cope.His role behind the screen includes the narrator of the movie, as the character Grey Bradnam.He has also done another important character that we couldn't recognize, i.e as the alien ,Chistopher Johnson.
This Christopher Johnson is very important because this character along with Shalto explains the bond between human and alien.This character also shows that aliens are also so kind to human if they are shown love and affection and if they are also believed by the humans.
But many of us doesn't knew about who did this character, because of the Computer Graphics done in this film and for the creation of this alien character, Christopher Johnson,they used a similar process which was used in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy's,important character called "Gollum",which was played by Andy Serkis.
Apart from these character, Cope also performed the majority of the background voice in this film,that includes the voice of police, pilot and other background voices in addition to the voice of the cameraman Trent.Apart from these major characters other characters includes
i)David James as Colonel Koobus Venter and he is a very cruel man who works very arrogantly.He also doesn't show any mercy to the aliens and he always tasted their death.Later in the movie he also tries to kill Wikus van de Merwe as he was infected and transforming into a alien.Even at the start of the movie when the opeartion was about to start he begins to quarrel with Wikus van de Merwe and this scene clearly explains the character of Colonel Koobus Venter.The character of Colonel Koobus Venter is shown inthe image below(David james is on Left side of the image)
ii)Eugene Khumbanyiwa as Obesandjo, a Nigerian warlord and he along with his gang exchange goods to the aliens and also get the highly sophisticated weapons from them which also includes mechanized battle suit. After watching Wikus transforming into an alien, and knowing the power, he tries to capture Wikus.He also eats the Aliens flesh thinking that he will be transformed into an alien and get the power.
iii)Vanessa Haywood as Tania van de Merwe, Wikus' wife and she is a very good wife. She is the only one who believes Wikus, when he was slowly transforming into an Alien,as she calls him, but this call was traced by the MNU for tracing the location of Wikus.
iv)Mandla Gaduka as Fundiswa Mhlanga, Wikus' assistant during the eviction and he is very much loyal to Wikus and he also likes Wikus and he also take care of Wikus when he was injured during the evacuation operation.

The main protagonist says in the end-"This might be my masterpiece" obviously referring to something else,but the movie if considered as a whole is a very good film but Pulp Fiction would always remain QT's masterpiece.
Now let me outline to you what to expect or the basic premise of the whole film and of course the performances.
1.Unlike other QT movies,this movie does not have full fledged action,action is there for a purpose,it is more situational based than anything else.The film heavily relies on wordplay,dialogues,sarcasm,wit etc and in fact 60% of the film is shot in a language other than English and yet all of them was enjoyable to listen to.
2.The movie is divided into chapters-1-5.The chapter 1 is one of the best opening scenes in a movie in recent times of course TDK's opening scene is unmatchable.
Here we are first introduced to the cold menacing SS Nazi General Colonel Hans Landa-brilliantly played by Christopher Waltz.Well if there is any standout performance in the movie it is his role.He literally owned everyone in the film including Brad Pitt.Mind you he is more of a man of words than action.He relies more on dialogues and wordplay to instill in the mind of his victims-that is the Jews-fear.He is one of those passive bad-ass characters who gets into the skin of the victims through words.Every year we have had a stand out performance,if last year belonged to Heath,this year it definitely belongs to Waltz-take a bow!
Chapter 3 was okay..the girl literally got owned when Hans Landa came..
Chapter 4..highlight was the bar scene...when the SS general came..the wordplay the dialogue..the situation was so tensed and terse and the way it culminated..you'd end up gasping and admiring the ingenuity of the whole set up and the culmination..One of my fav scenes of the film barring the opening scene of course..
And finally we have the chapter 5...where everything culminates in a big climax..what happens..whether the plan succeeds or not..what happens to Hitler etc..watch it to find out..Hitler was reduced to more of a caricature in the film than anything else..the confrontation between Aldo and Landa in the end was nothing short of a master stroke..
In the end I can say-forget history,forget the holocaust,,the Nazis..etc..this is alternative re-telling of WW2 history during the Holocaust and the Nazi regime..true we have seen better war films than this..but this one is not meant to be a war or a Holocaust film..the film acts as a parody,sarcasm on several levels..this is QT's own film...and he deserves an applause for it..
Not his best film by far,but a very good comeback from QT after the ever so disappointing Death Proof..
I'd rate it 4.5/5..please dont call me QT obsessed etc or some junkie..I watch and appreciate good films..it might be that people wont like the film..these films grow on you and it takes time appreciating it..

Imagine Me And You - 2005
Imagine Me And You is a sweet British lesbian romantic comedy. Its about a girl who starts questioning her sexual inclination when she meet a girl at her own wedding.
If i start analyzing it on the basis of real world or even on cinematic level, it would be unfair, coz rom-coms generally don't have any connection to the dynamics of reality. Leaving that aside, it was good, corny cheesy like they are. But better than most. The lead couple was sweet and pleasant. Movie is a good Saturday night watch.

The student is a female but unlike other ladies she has a unique characteristic with tom boy looks and no interest in romance and other genuine qualities, so obviously thought to be a boy when seen for the first time. As expected of a scholarship student, her main goal has been to become a lawyer like her mother. One day when she tries to find a quiet room for her studies, she notices an old music room and accidentally discovers the Host club formed by the above six men. In all this confusion, Haruhi accidentally breaks an expensive vase and she is dragged into the Host club as compensation. It is later, that one by one notices that Haruhi is a female and starts to fall for her. It is the story of the melancholy faced by Haruhi amongst these annoying weird Host club members. Just like most romantic comedies, the female or the male does not realize the Love present till the last episode. The funny thing about this anime is both the couple are so dense that they do not understand their own feelings. This show has been licensed so can not download them, but definitely should be watched. This anime is decent enough without any adult content, hence recommended for all. My rating for this is 4.5 / 5.
Top 2: Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (Perfect Girl Evolution)
This is also a scary funny anime and contains funny scary scenes. This series consists of 25 episodes. This anime is again about 4 handsome dazzling young men and a girl named Sunako. All the four men come from different family backgrounds. They live together in an expensive mansion belonging to a wealthy lady. The lady offers them FREE rent as long as they convert their niece to a perfect lady like in a wealthy family with all ladylike manners. They gladly accept the challenge as they are all popular with females. It is to their surprise the niece turns out to be someone who is not ladylike at all with bad skin and manners and loves horror stuff and sticks to scary models and lives in a dark room. The scary comedy is very funny and some scenes may be disturbing to audience. It contains little adult content but not very seriously expressed so can be watched by everyone. This anime shows the efforts made by the men to convert her into a lady but not the success progress. Its like it is pointless to change her. This show has also been licensed, but must watch them. Very funny and my rating is 4 / 5.
Top 3: Full metal Panic Fumoffu
This anime contains total of 24 episodes but only Fumoffu episodes that is the first 12 episodes are funny. You need not watch the rest. This falls under action based romantic comedy.This is about a soldier who comes to a school and joins as a student to protect a girl. This piont is understood only when you watch episodes after 12. Till then you will not understand why he has come to the school, but episodes 13-24 are not funny. As expected of a soldier, he doubts every single thing and is very cautious and that makes the series very funny. Fumoffu is a stuffed animal costume which he uses to hide is disguise and adds more comedy to it. Must watch the Fumoffu series. This contains adult references but not too much. My rating is 3.5 / 5.
Top 4: Lovely Complex
This anime also falls under the romantic comedy category and contains 24 episodes. This story is about a short boy and a tall girl which is not a normal couple to fall in love. A short boy is not considered very manly type and a tall girl is not considered very ladylike when it comes to being a couple. This fact makes the series very funny. There are various other aspects also that contribute to the comedy. The middle few episodes of the story might be a little drag as the girl who falls for the boy first always sobs that he does not understand her feelings, this makes it a little boring but overall it is very funny. My rating for this is 3.5 / 5.
Top 5: Special A
This anime consists of 24 episodes. This falls under action based romantic comedy. The action content is not heavy action with metals and stuff like in Full metal panic but little action in some scenes. This is about a girl who joins the Special A section of the school only to challenge a boy to whom she has been loosing from childhood in sports, studies etc. She always comes second in every thing. The Special A section consists a group of Seven people who are very talented. This group has separate classes located at separate areas and they consider it as a family. The boy who has been challenged actually falls in love with the girl and that feeling is seen from the second episode itself but in this series the female character is very dense and looks at him only as a rival and does not understand his feelings. The series of romance between other couples in the anime is also very funny. It has no adult content and comfortable to watch. My rating for this is 3.3 / 5.
