The scene which straight away goes to my personal favorite list of "Best Moments of a Film" (after a long time) was when Michael Peña (Locksmith) convinces his daughter about the impenetrable cloak. It was really touching. Excellent scene."
I loved the end of the movie which shows the judgment of almost all the characters end up exactly opposite to what they believed all their lives. A very nice way perhaps to spread the message.

Transformers - Revenge of The Fallen (2009)
Okay guys, let me give you some tips before you see T2, trust me they'll be helpful!
1. Forget that there was some movie called Transformers two years ago. So that you lessen your expectations as a "movie".
2. Watch it if you care a damn about your ears.
3. Stop finding a story for Christ's sake, will ya?!
4. Eat popcorn or have a nice smooch with your girl friend whenever the two irritating twin robots appear.
5. Forget that Megan Fox will help you.
If you do all of the above, T2 is 5/5 for everyone of you.
Okay now,
Michael Bay plays with the emotions of each and every kid to adult by creating a pathetic sequel. Why rise the expectations if you just cannot have a good script to support your mindblasting, fantabulous, sexcellent CGI. The visual effects were unbelievably outstanding, no doubt. But the movie fails to hold the grip of the story. Messed it up completely. There is hardly a week that goes without me watching Transformers in parts. I love that movie so much. T2 completely fucked up!
The action sequence and the robots, the transformation frames, everything was just aahhh!! Awesome, probably cannot even describe in words. But I expected something that would end up making me crave for more. Crave for T3 or even T4. I wanted it to create a landmark like other few trilogies which I still love to watch every now and then.
Till the end, I was literally fed up of the movie and wanted it to get over. Only and only the action and the commendable efforts of the CG artist held me. Another thing that will turn you off would be the chaos. It was really unnecessary. And yeah, Lt. Lennox and the black guy had nothing else than reporting to Pentagon and kissing Sam's goddamn ass! Atleast they did something in the first part!
Disappointed!

Antichrist - 2009
I love Trakovasky's cinema and Salvador Dali's paintings, some of the imagery and sequences reminded me of their work in a modern form, which is a huge accomplishment, even mimicking them is appreciable. This film was dedicated to Trakovasky directly. But cinema is not art, just a subset of it therefore it relies on other factors too.
Now coming to the bad part. Content of this movie is devoid of any humanistic quality, its depressing, highly explicit sometimes even exceeding hardcore porn and horrific in every form of the word.
No matter how well artistically crafted this movie is, its content is just not profound enough that one would want to go through the pain of watching this entire film. Take it as a formal warning from my side, Do Not Watch It .. Do not Watch It. Sadly I did :S

The movie is amazing when we consider the time it was made......The first 7 mins have no voice...Infact Hitchcock made 2 versions of this film (Silent & talkie)

a.) Ouran High School Host Club:
This is a very funny anime. It is both story based and comedy based. Watching an episode leaves you fulfilled as if having a full course meal.
Every episode is interesting. The most funniest anime i have seen. It has a very good sense of humour.Each individual character is perfect.
The important feature for any funny anime is that it should have the effect on us, that we may think about it later and laugh about it.
Ouran High School has definetely succeeded on that aspect.

b.)Lovely Complex:
This is also a funny anime. Inspite of this, i felt this as more of a comedy based anime rather than a story based anime. The anime as a whole was good and satisfactory but watching individual series was kind of a Drag. because i felt like the main characters in the anime were laughing for a second and fighting the next. I didn't understand the necessity of certain scenes /lines in the anime. I was a little irritated that the female character keeps crying all the time and did not find it meanngful.
There was no curiosity as to what would happen inthe next episode but i was curious as to what might happen in the end.Though most od the series was a drag, the final few episodes have been very good and effective.
The comedy part is with the expressions but not effective enough that i would think about it later and laugh out loud as it is even difficult to recollect what has happened in the last viewed episode because all seem to be the same somewhat.. I might have enjoyed it a lot if the episodes were shortened from 24 to maximum 16. And also the time movement /variations did not blend well.(with only a few episodes, they have already passed a year)

c.) Detective Academy Q:
Usually, when it comes to detective series ,you might not want to watch again because, at the end of the series you would already know who is involved in a crime and the crime is solved. Besides that fact, this anime still backs a good side due to its innovative series and decent presentation of crimes and decent level of comedy.The charecters are also fun to watch and they have made justice dedicating a good number of episodes for all the detectives wanna be rather than being partial towards the main character.

d.)Mahoromatic :
This is a soft and funny anime both story based and comedy based divided equally. Very fulfilling series on the whole. They have dedicated an episode for each occasion which was very good.

This is also a funny series which looks serious. Good sense of humour. I liked upto 12 episodes and after that it was not funny. i also did not get the story properly as lot of information was missing.

Anyway, when a film makes its mark in a Top 250 list your expectations rise naturally. Though with Tarantino at the helm, I, partially, was wary of the fact that Top 250 also represented a mob-mentality. Tarantino junkies in particular are infamous for promoting his films by rating them so highly so that they enter into the Top list and remain there; in doing so ensuring the injustice made to more deserving films (IMHO).
The film, IMO, from the start to finish was a very dull experience, to the point of being ponderous at times - something which is not so uncharacteristic of Tarantino, though. Much has been written and said about WWII and infinite films have been made already on the subject. But the film was different in a way that it demanded not to be taken seriously given its serious subject. I take the film to be a parody on the German Nazis which was reflected through its very founder, Adolf Hitler. In one scene the head of the Nazis (not Hitler) was seen laughing hysterically for over 10 seconds over something he found implausible.
I guess I shouldn't write much about the film. May be I will like to watch it again when its DVD releases. With subtitles on, I would be able to catch everything Brad Pitt mumbled in that ass-nigga/Tennessee/Texan accent. May be the film is not that bad after all, but its high ratings and the deification of its director in the IMDb forums is getting nauseating.
7.5/10 for now.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - 1958
As the story unfold this movie looks a bit predictable/deja vu but what it stands out for is acting and execution. I was engrossed deeply into it, Elizabeth Taylor was looking excruciatingly beautiful. Paul Newman was amazing and handsome, his acting was superb. Its a very good movie. It rightly deserved every Oscar nomination.

A sweet 7.6/10 on IMDb, although my rating would be more.
A great movie which keeps you glued to the seat till the end, not even letting you to blink once. An enthralling experience and a well made movie. And yeah, this probably would be the best movie of Ashton Kutcher till now and years to come.

well at the begining of the movie he said that he just wanted to connect with people and that he used names as his tool to connect. If he wanted to he could have used "men with goatees" or "fat film makers" to connect with other people.
Absolutely Awesome Jim. This is one of the best films i've seen in a long long time. I found myself sitting here with tears in my eyes at the end, because it really struck a chord deep inside, and that's rare for this cynical New Yorker. H(B)ollywood and other commercial venues could learn a thing or 2 about filmmaking. It appears your quest was 2 fold.. One to find out who you were, and the other to determine whether or not you were a film maker. You absolutely are one of the best!
well, I had never heard of DG when I started the project...but i've sure heard of him now!! he has dedicated and loyal fans, and he deserves them, he's really funny and talented. That said, I take the concept in a little different direction, with different results.
it doesnt have to have artistic value, it was more of a documentary of this guys "quest" to find people with the same name as him.
also none of these "much more interesting people" did this so i guess this is what you get.
1. Many avoided to see this film on seeing the posters outside the theatres,they took the sign of 'Do (k)not disturb' bit too seriously.
2. Govinda is very happy to see that someone looks fatter than him, by someone i mean sushmita sen
3. The song BEBO is worse than kareena kapoor's (Bebo) acting in kambhakt ishq.
4. After the relase of this film, hotels all over india have stopped keeping this sign outside the hotel rooms.
5. Kangana ranaut is relieved cos in this film govinda managed to scream louder than what kangana usually does.
6. Incidently, DO NOT DISTURB was the sign outside the theatre halls cos everybody slept while watching it.
7. In this film, by playing govinda's girlfriend, lara has performed far more dangerous stunts than the girls of khatron ke khiladi
8.Critics didnt even take the trouble of watching this film, all they said was 'Please do not disturb'
9. After this film, 'Do NOT Disturb' is what producers will say to reitesh deshmukh
10. Rituparna sengupta is also acting in this film.Fortunately, no one except her notices it
11. As lara plays govinda's girlfriend, many think that this film is a sequel to 'NISHABD'
12. Sohail khan's name in the film is diesel, after the release of the film, no fuel pump is ready to fill diesel in his car
By doing this movie, govinda wanted to tell that even though he is 50, he is still Knot out
- The public has vowed (k)not to disturb this movie.
It can Rest In Peace.
- The star cast itself is totally disturbed, what more would anyone disturb them?
- David Dhawan is a staunch environmentalist.
He even recycles his jokes from the previous films
- The excessive slaps in the movie are the only places where a viewer feels as if he's taken his revenge on the actors!
- Govinda's acting is no match before Sohail's over acting.
Do Not Disturb boards ll b there where ever govinda goes!!
- Susmitha dances on bebo...kareena got angry & she asked Y is a grandma dancing on ma name!! :P
- David Dhavan plannin to send this film to oscar's!!
