I heard it a few times it on Television and thought of giving the whole album a shot
Here is the review
Alisha:- Sung by Anushka and Salim Merchant it is a pretty normal track have heard these kind of songs earlier, very much like a R & B number, nothing great..would rate it 2/5
Pyaar Impossible:- This is the best track of the albumn, i think the masses is going to connect with the song instantly, Awesome work by Domnique and Vishal Dadlani, i love the way Vishal has taken over this song.the lyrics are awesome too.. i think this deserves a 4/5
You and me:- Starts with a great tune, you feel its great, sung by Benny Dayal and Anushka mirchandani its a normal paced song with a lot of English lyrics but the tune is great. Anushka sounds ok and Benny who has sung awesome songs in the past is gr8 again i think this one is 2.5/5
Ek Ladki si:- Starts with chorus by children sung by some Rishika sawant i think is a newbie...no charm in the song....seems like it must be pictures with children. The singer doesn’t manage to hold on long and the song is only OK i think i would give it only 1.5/5
Ten on Ten:- the 2nd good song of the albums, sung by the Viva girls Mahua Kamat and Anushka sounds really good, the music is like that of a rock band, manages to at least keep you glued to it’s a perfect dance number. i think 3/5
i personally expected a lot from the music of this film, but it has just left me with 2 choices
Pyaar Impossible
Ten on ten
the only 2 songs i would listen to...
i would rate it only 3/5 (actually wanted to give 2.5 but 0.5 more for these 2 songs)
The Way She Came
Into The Place
I Knew Right Then And There
There Was Something Different
About This Girl
The Way She Moved
Her Hair, Her Face, Her Lines
Divinity In Motion
As She Stalked The Room
I Could Feel The Aura
Of Her Presence
Every Head Turned
Feeling Passion And Lust
The Girl Was Persuasive
The Girl I Could Not Trust
The Girl Was Bad
The Girl Was Dangerous
I Never Knew But I Was
Walking The Line
Come Go With Me
I Said I Have No Time
And Don't You
Pretend We Didn't
Talk On The Phone
My Baby Cried
She Left Me Standing Alone
She's So Dangerous
The Girl Is So Dangerous
Take Away My Money
Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey
But You're No Damn Good For Me
She Came At Me In Sections
With The Eyes Of Desire
I Fell Trapped Into Her
Web Of Sin
A Touch, A Kiss
A Whisper Of Love
I Was At The Point
Of No Return
Deep In The Darkness Of
Passion's Insanity
I Felt Taken By Lust's
Strange Inhumanity
This Girl Was Persuasive
This Girl I Could Not Trust
The Girl Was Bad
The Girl Was Dangerous
I Never Knew
But I Was Living In Vain

She Called My House
She Said You Know My Name
And Don't You Pretend
You Never Did Me Before
With Tears In Her Eyes
My Baby Walked Out The Door
She's So Dangerous
The Girl Is So Dangerous
Take Away My Money
Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey
But You're No Damn Good For Me
Dangerous
The Girl Is So Dangerous
I Have To Pray To God
'Cause I Know How
Lust Can Blind
It's A Passion In My Soul
But You're No Damn Lover
Friend Of Mine
I Can not Sleep Alone Tonight
My Baby Left Me Here Tonight
I Cannot Cope 'Til
It's All Right
You And Your Manipulation
You Hurt My Baby
And Then It Happened
She Touched Me
For The Lips Of
A Strange Woman
Drop As A Honeycomb
And Her Mouth Was
Smoother Than Oil
But Her Inner Spirit And Words
Were As Sharp As
A Two-Edged Sword
But I Loved It
'Cause It's Dangerous
Dangerous
The Girl Is So Dangerous
Take Away My Money
Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey
But You're No Damn Good For Me
Dangerous
The Girl Is So Dangerous
Take Away My Money
Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey
But You're No Damn Good For Me
Dangerous
The Girl Is So Dangerous
Take Away My Money
Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey
But You're No Damn Good For Me
Dangerous
The Girl Is So Dangerous
I Have To Pray To God
'Cause I Know How
Lust Can Blind
It's A Passion In My Soul
But You're No Damn Lover
Friend Of Mine
i'm over shadowed by her solicitousness
so i'm going to give it all to make our love a success
gone is my stress, i dont feel depress
you are my one and only princess
forget the rest
you are placating to my senses baby i gotta confess
one stare at your butt and i become obssessed
i want to appreciate your beauty while you get undress
we havent started but i dejavu the sex
can't comprehend the way that you make me feel
wouldn't know in retrospect that you'll be so real
had a disguise that made me want to take to my heel
now every piece of you is just so ideal
so lets take this precious love to the next level
for you i'll succumb, for you i'll settle
never had anyone give me so much mettle
for you i'll become the genie in the bottle
we met a couple of times
during the summer time
she got a beauty that in one word i call sublime
it never came to my mind that i could cross her line
with such a beauty, indulgence could become a crime
but one thing led to the other
we made acquaintance and i got her number
she's allured by my style because she knows i'm a baller
now she wants to know if i could be her lover
she's a dime piece too so i told her
if she would be my lover then i'm down for whatever
we could have the love stay, we could grow together
i will never ever leave baby, i will stay for ever
we became two crazy birds in love
no wind was strong enough to blow us off
we could fly anywhere because the love had no limit
whatever you want baby, i will go and get it
Kurbaan, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar & Karan Johar and directed by Rensil D’Silva, is a forthcoming thriller based on global terrorism. It features Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi in the lead roles.
Music: Salim-Sulaiman
Lyrics: Niranjan Ayegar*
The album has five original songs and one remix.
Shukran Allah is a soft romantic number with beautiful lyrics. Sonu Nigam’s vocals are outstanding and Shreya Ghoshal’s rendition is pure and gives the song the emotional feel that it needs. The highlight of the song is the Shukran Allah Walah Alham Dilulah part by Salim Merchant…simply marvellous rendition! 4/5
Next comes Dua, a fast paced track which has a bit of both – Indian as well as Western. Though it has veteran singers like Sukhwinder Singh and Kailash Kher, it disappoints..specially after you’ve heard Shukran Allah. Even Suzanne D’Cruz Aiman’s English vocals doesn’t help the already dull song. – 2/5
Ali Maula by Salim Merchant is a slow Sufi track. The highlight of the song is the urdu lyrics in the song and Salim’s outstanding rendition ofcourse. This devotional song is for the mature audience. Not everyone would like it. – 3/5
The remix version of Ali Maula is simply outstanding. Nice beats. Here, I would actually differ from Rishabh’s views. The song has NO RnB influence. Trance, it is! And I found this remix slightly better than the original – 3.5/5
Finally, we have the title track – Kurbaan Hua by the guest composers – Vishal-Shekhar. Vishal’s husky voice is apt for this rock song. Lyrics are great but music is nothing extraordinary, it’s similar to what we’ve heard previously in other desi-rock songs. Nevertheless, a decent song! – 3/5
---
Overall, I am disappointed with the album, especially because my expectations were high after listening to Shukran Allah. I wonder why Karan Johar chose Salim-Sulaiman and why not Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, considering their average and excellent performances in Kaal and KANK/KHNH respectively. Why not even Vishal-Shekhar for the whole album? The duo composed some really nice songs in Dostana. Not that there are bad songs in the album apart from Dua but when it’s a KJo film, excellent songs are expected, not average songs.
The best songs in the album are Shukran Allah and Ali Maula (Remix).
My Rating for the Album – 3/5
