Here is the review of the soundtrack of the the upcoming hindi movie Game which boasts of star cast of Abhishek Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut,Anupam Kher, Sarah Jane Dias,Shahana Goswami, Boman Irani and Jimmy Shergill. Game (Hindi) is an upcoming Hindi Action film directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment. The film's title was initially 'Crooked' which was later changed to the new title of 'Game' .The film is supposed to be in the genre as of the Bourne Identity trilogy. The movie will be releasing on Releasing on April 1, 2011
The music has been composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Lyrics are penned by Javed Akhtar.
1."It's A Game" (Vishal Dadlani)3:09
Vishal Dadlani's tryst with Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy continues. Vishal and Shankar have become regulars in each others sound tracks. While Shankar mahadevan regularly charts out blockbusters in Vishal Shekhar's tracks like "Desi Girl" in Dostana, Vishal has been singing regularly in Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy's soundtracks .The title song sung by Vishal Dadlani has elements of thriller. It sounds like soundtrack of Don towards the end which is surprising. For a moment it Sounds like the music notes of GAME might have got swapped with DON2 or may be they picked out the tunes meant to be for Don2 .
2."It's A Game - Reprise"(Sunitha Sarathy) 4:34
The Reprise version continues the momentum of the original title song . Though Sunitha Sarathy does absolute justice to the song it felt like the song belonged to more to the genre of Sunidhi Chauhan or Mahalaxmi Iyer. Sunidhi's vocals would have made the song more engaging .The high pitch vocals of Sunitha aren't impressive
3."Kaun Hai Ajnabi"(Aditi Singh Sharma, Kay Kay )3:58
"Kaun Hai Ajnabi" initially sounds like another song of Don stable escaped to be part of GAME. Later momentum shifts like a mixture of a dance track with a thriller element. It sounds more like a 70s track in parts that used to be the song before the climax where the hero and heroine used to go in disguise to the villains place and indulge in song and dance routine to keep him distracted while they try to rescue the victims. The song definitely scores among those to remember whatever be the mixture. Kay Kay comes with a typical song which does not add anything special to his track record.
4."Maine Yeh Kab Socha Tha"(Shaan, Anusha Mani, Loy Mendonca)5:15
The song starts with a piano rendition which may be the key background score to love track in the movie. It is a pleasant love song while the song starts on a lighter note with mostly the piano recital. The orchestration of this song is quite different and typical considering this is the lonely love track in this album. However we do not miss the mystery element in this song also. Looks like no song is left in the track to remind the listener repeatedly of its mystery element.Towards the middle there are some of the added elements of Mitwa from Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. The song stands out as the lonely love track. This may not be the best track of Shaan but it is among many those passable ones
5."Mehki Mehki"(Shreya Ghoshal, Kshitij)4:05
The song is surprising considering it is meant to be an item number. But the rendition by Shreya Ghoshal sounds more like a copy 'Kaisi Paheli Zindagani ' of from 'Parineeta'. The saving grace is Kshitij in this song. Shreya's vocals make the song more intense in wrong places sounding like the a sad song
6."Kaun Hai Ajnabi - Remix"(Aditi Singh Sharma, Kay Kay)3:44
The original was better though the remix is meant to be what a change of the orchestration beats. It is purely due to the tune that the song stands out. One can be expected to hum the original better. The remix is no more than a soundtrack meant for the dancefloor.
7."Mehki Mehki - Remix" (Shreya Ghoshal, Kshitij)3:41
The remix sounds more better than original considering the damage done by Shreya's intense singing in some places in original. The beats and orchestra in this song dilutes that effect and somewhat save the composition. People can believe the song to be an item song only for the remix.
Though not the best soundtrack of this kind from Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Game is an engaging work from the composer trio.
Songs that Stand out: Kaun Hai Ajnabi, It's A Game
Verdict: 3.5 out of 5 stars
Present are plenty of books to facilitate you how to write down “hit songs,” as well as there are ample of customary formats and policy you can study to improve your odds of writing a top melody. Following the rules and all that speculation, although, you may be clever to crank out a number of good, but ordinary-sounding stuff. The thing that tends on the way to create a song place out, although, if you pay attention, is how it is in a number of way dissimilar from the rest—there is a unique something present that touches you on a point you didn’t anticipate. True, you require writing down songs so as to outdo a rep’s analysis, plus fit into the genus you are writing meant for, although it still desires that morsel that only you and your experiences be able to provide it—and that comes since you, and not a few book. Let’s get a rough glance within your noggin, now, and observe what form of particular songs you and just you can write down—it’s entirely in the mind fraction of your top.
Only you have lived your being. You skilled things budding up that lot of public have, however not in the accurate alike approach as the excess of us—that’s what makes you unique. At this instant you necessitate to convey that to your songwriting, also uncover those exceptional effects that compose your song your melody, with not someone else’s.
If you be a lyricist, you possibly will contain a great or sore remembrance that caused you to put in writing a dozen verses—why not heave a few of those out, clean them off and revise them for a bit. There are a few camps that speak that you shouldn’t write down stuff that are actually delicate, since you are the lone one that would value them, but it’s also been believed that the further delicate it is, the more widespread the fact behind it—we have all been in love, all been deserted, all had somebody pass away, all mislaid a pal, all made friends, all moved to a new-fangled residence, and the largest part have seen beautiful surroundings or celebrated what it’s like to go to school, or have a celebration. Once you have this verse, you can for all time exclude names and extra things that might dig up you into lawful mess, or transform them to guard the guiltless, but if it touched you, it will doubtlessly will be felled by others, so make an effort giving it a amend to put together it sound satisfactory to your now cultured psyche, and make out if it can be reworked into somewhat you might hand over to somebody without a wince. If you contain a humor, let that emerge. I have a tendency to write occasionally in a sweet and old-fashioned mode, sometimes, and a few of my mainly admired songs have been while I was at my silliest, lyrically.
INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC
Under the SUBJECT ‘Music’, in India, come three arts, singing, playing of instruments and dance. In practice, the three arts have their own space and that’s why they are considered to be separate subjects in many countries. But in India, classical music, they are three organs of the same body and so are inseparable. In absense of inter-relation among the three, the real power of music is lessened. For instance, if only dance is practiced in absense of any instrument play, there cannot be real enjoyment in dance. So they are inter-dependent. But singing is considered best since under it comes instrument play and under instrument play comes dance. As per a Musical work ‘Sangeet Ratnakar’, ‘Music is mixture of singing, tuning and dancing.’
Music is a most pure and beautiful art, whose main base is sound. This art is considered to be a perfect mixture that can present the artist’s emotions most beautifully and perfectly in front of the audience. English scholar, Ruskin, believed that the elevation of the soul should be main object of music. So, it is also a way for soul to feel free and reach God, if practiced purely.
Classical Music, in India, has two forms, viz. South or Carnatic form and North or Hindustani form. Both the forms are independent, even though many similarities lie in between them. It is believed that both the forms were in the ancient times. Even today it can be seen that both the forms consider 12 syllables.
Music comes from sounds and sounds come from vibrations. Sounds are of two types, viz. pleasant and rough. But the rough sound is considered to be noise and sweet sound forms music. This is a very special feature of Indian Classical Music. Vibrations produce sound. Vibrations produce the sound and these vibrations are of two forms, conscious and unconscious forms. Conscious form is produced physically and can be controlled and it is the most common form used. The unconscious one cannot be produced with physical trials. It is believed that’s yogis meditate upon these subtle sounds to attain Moksha or salvation. This form is used by God , as it is said.
Despite the quick expansion of western hip-hop and rocking music of western world, the great and purest Indian Classical Music still exists and it is still being practiced by a large number of people. In ancient times, many great Indian Classical Musicians proved the power of music by bringing rains and many other mystic actions. They prayed it as their God and they made it their life. So, only word for our great art is “Incredible”, one cannot express its power that is beyond express and imagination.
