A job is the identity of a person. Whenever we meet any one the first question they ask will be what job we are placed in. It was at olden days that people were opting out for family businesses. There will be a hierarchy of businesses being followed. But nowadays we are not seeking family jobs. People are mostly interested in software jobs. Because of the popularity of the software field the craze among people for that industry is growing manifold every day.
Typically an interview for a software companies includes many processes. Whether it is a placement in college or through a formal interview the following procedures will be present. The order of the rounds will vary in different companies. But mostly any company will have a combination of these rounds only. First round will be a written test. The criteria for entry into written test will be determined by the company. It may be based on the percentage acquired by the student in that course of sometimes all of them will be allowed to write a written test. The number of arrears will also be main criteria for entry into first round. The absence of arrears will be best for any student.
The written test basically consists of logical aptitude questions to test the logical ability of the candidate. Aptitude might include quantitative aptitude and also reasoning. Start an early preparation on daily basis to perform better. The papers will be assessed and the scores will be told to students. The shortlisted students will be called for interview. In written test the most important point is the approach. Try to make your approach smart and short. This will be the main criteria. When asked later you must be able to explain the approach that you followed.
The interview will have two rounds- Technical round and HR round. The technical questions will be pertaining to the areas of interest stated by the candidate in the resume. Be very careful in selecting your areas of interest. Mostly the question will pertain to the coding formats. When asked to write code, then be very careful. Listen to the questions properly and answer. They might have some internal twists.
The HR questions will be some formal HR questions like “tell me about you”, “why must I recruit u?”Make a Google search on the topics like HR questions to find many questions and answers. HR questions will reflect the attitude of the candidate. Impressive answers can get an immediate job. The next round might be group discussion. Try to be very careful in group discussion. You need to have knowledge on current affairs to perform well in group discussion. Watch news always to improve general knowledge. Sometimes stress tests also will be conducted. That will test the stress level of the candidate. Very important point is to gain some knowledge about the company that we are going to apply for.
