This is an eternal problem. The facility to read articles is being misused. Some members in the past abused this practice and some members of present are abusing this facility. Just imagine how such activities act on Members who toil all along the week by answering and Posting new threads. I do not understand, why these tactics cannot be stopped once and for all. I request the Administrator to restrict the article reading to 5 in a week.
@ Sunil, while I agree that ONLY reading the articles for gaining points is not to be encouraged, the same member/s who object now have done the same thing before, in fact used everything else possible to gain points, so it is futile to be judgmental.. However, articles are meant to be read and when more members read it helps the site as well, also since the admin has not made any set rule against reading articles nor restricted the numbers such a thing is bound to happen...
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!
Two of THOSE great ones were at #3 and #4 with in minutes when I checked at 10.30 last night. I had to work hard to show them their place on the leader board. If I see the same next week I will do something that will take care of the problem once for all.
As far limit of five that is not possible without self control but I can clearly see how many articles are clicked (not read) by members with in few minutes.
If limiting the article reading is not feasible, please think of some other alternative. Thank you for deciding to check this problem.
I have a solution in my mind. I will apply it next week if I find the number of points on leader board do not match properly with his/her forum posts.
But, there is a problem. If the member takes part in Q&A, the number of points in leader Board do not match naturally. Taking part in Q&A is not against the rules. Is it not ? Please clarify.
That is why I said the "Points not match properly". Suppose, you said 5 points a day that means you will READ 35 articles and if the number of posts and points are mismatch the action begins. I hope that is fair enough :)

I agree with you. Restriction on reading articles may not be possible now. But, whatever is possible within your jurisdiction after consulting Maverick may please be done. Other members do like and read articles. But such members maintain a balance. Their whole activity is well balanced. But these members in question are building up the points only by reading articles. Such members should be reined in.
Such members should be checked and no points should be given to these members who just click on one article and then close it without reading just for points.

Why should points be given for reading articles? What do these points bring to the reader? Similarly what about members who wake up in the morning and post 20 + replies in forum and build up a 100+ point lead. That points are accumulated is not the issue but intention is the issue. Then throughout the day they pontificate about Modi and morality.
