You have created a very nice blog. I think you can make it much more better.
These are some suggestions from me..
1) Make the background light color(white) and use dark color for text.
2) Create a logo for the blog. It will look attractive.
3) Use a good template or change the layout. so that the main content covers a large center part of the web page.
4) you have not used meta tags for your blog. Add the meta tags so that your blog will get a higher ranking.

You have done a great job, but following improvements can make it much better.
1)The content must occupy the central position of the page. This will make easier for the visitors to browse the site.
2)Make the background light color(white) and use dark color for text.
3)Instead of using two vertical columns on left side. Use one column on left side and other one on right side of the page.
4)Place the ads on such a position so that it does not distract the viewer's attention from the main content.
