A research has indicated that taking one or two pegs of wine after food is beneficial for health of elderly above 60 years age. Moderate dose of alcoholic drinks is good for heart and prevents diabetes and mental disorder. The research indicated that alcohol thins blood and thus raises insulin. But this limited becomes a limitless soon after is the problem in our youth!
Thats true. This improves the blood circulation too.
My grand father was also suggested for this...As he has very less circulation of blood and had been a diabetic patient for the last 30 years; before he expired. :(

But has never tasted it... He felt it to be a sin to have wine.... :(
:)
GOOD POST.............BUT IT BECOMES A HABIT IF TAKEN ON REGULAR BASE.................

alcohol does affect the brain and thinking level no matter u consume in drops or in form of bottles.but wines, specially red is a good anti oxident, goes good with meats and bland foods.any form of alcohol does not go good with spices and curries.
Yes wine is a good appetiser too. But due to religious beliefs it is not consumed commonly.
he he i dont drink. am sharing this with my knowledge i heard. i dont know whether that is true or not
Neetu- You are right. Drinking will be a habit if taken regularly. But if one adheres to limited quantity, this will be a good habit.
We need some excuses to get the things, which we want to. Some time it is name of research and some time name of health, some time name of good habit.

Execuses!! you are so helpful to fulfill my desires!! Thanks!!

Is there no other GOOD appetizer given by Nature??
It would be best to forbid drinking..
There are so many healthy foods, what for we should move for drinking?
And moderate drinking is a dream
Kumaresh- There are so many things to consume. Wine is not a must for all. Let all have their free choice. Definitely, there are many other appetizers and teetotalers can safely live in their own style.
Thanks for sharing this news.People at age 60 or more drink less then people at age 25 to 55.
Now a days drinking is become habit of youngster.I have seen till 20 years of age boys have tasted all most everything related to drinking, cigarettes in Chandigarh, punjab and haryana...
Jasmeet- The boys in age range of 20-30 are young adults and they need and wish to get first hand experience of everything. It is okay to drink, smoke or do anything for getting taste. But they need caution after experiencing the first doses. Cigarette smoking is definitely harmful. One must not smoke at all. It will suffice to take only one or two cigarette packets in entire life for taste only. similarly, after taking wine for some time, you may give it up, if you feel bad, and not continue just for sake of friendship. If you are comfortable with alcoholic drinks, you must exercise moderation. The quantity depends on individual body need and time involved. If you are in a party that lasts for whole night, you may take more drinks than when the time is only two hours.
there are so many good things provided by nature which are beneficial for health of elderly people......so they should opt for those things rather than consuming alcoholic drinks........
