    He was one of the greatest music composers of all times ...He exzperimenyed with latin american tunes in films like Jaal, Taxi driver,Nau do gyarah and scores of otrhers films and has left us with the most precious treasure ! I love all his songs, difficult to choose...Sujatha, Bandini and many of Dev anands films all had his wonderful music that gave a special status to the film... He with his son RDB will be remembered forever ...

    Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

    I pay my best regards to one of the best in music world. He was original and truly melodious. I loved him for knowledge of folk. He gave new dimensions to Indian music.

    Burman Da is blessed with a rich knowledge of music in all the genres. His Mallah songs like, " Suno Mere Bandhu Re, Suno Mere Mitwa " are real pearls.

    I am not a fan of SD Burman, though I prefer some of songs of his son RD Burman, I prefer OP Nayar music for using entirely Indian musical instruments in composing, Happy Birth Day to SD Burman.

    I would like to remember his unique style of composing songs for films who can composing tunes by clapping hands. He was honoured with The Padma Shri award.

    What about third generation of Burman family, D Burman's son is inclined to music or not?
