I know many people who belong to this category who are fence sitters and talk according to convenience and situation.I feel that we cannot take such people seriously since you never can be sure which side of the fence they would jump..
Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

I Agree, as they say beware of sycophants since they will never tell you the reality. They will talk as if they're the best well wishers but the reality may differ.
It reminds me of the old political satire “Aya Ram Gaya Ram”, a political term created due to the repeated changing of party by an MLA in a short period.
