Now, I have decided to achieve better communication skills in English. :evil: My husband says, there is a bit difference between written and spoken English.
Can you guide me with some simple tips? :)

spoken language comes first. Written follows. I can speak in Punjabi but can neither read nor write this. Similarly, with English. But as this is our second language, we first learn written and later spoken English. This is unnatural way to learn a language.
Spoken English consists of listening and speaking. How does a child learn language. He first listens. Then starts speaking. We should also see the video and telecasts in English to know how native speakers speak. We should also practise speaking in English with friends. Practice makes one perfect.

Surely writing and speaking is totally different. I can write in English well, but I can't do it with same efficiency when its time to speak..
To improve speaking we need some one who can talk with us in English.. We can only improve it if we use English in daily routine.. I tried this with my family and cousin but they always laugh when I start it.. So never able to improved.. ha ha
You can only improve spoken english,when you speak english with others. Now,what if no one is there to have a conversation with us ?
The only option left is to join some institute,but this would like a shame to us,as we tell ourself that we are now too old to join institute.
