    Abid, May i know why the link shows the date as New Delhi, September 08, 2009?Was it introduced earlier?

    It is necessary for 10 Rs notes as they are more used one and damaged too..

    When it is expected to come to trial?. Soily notes will no longer be used if plastic notes comes to use.That would be a great relief. :)

    10 rupee notes are the most damaged ones in the circulation now, i wish this gets implemented soon.

    This is good news as it will not be thrown away by anyone atleast as plastic carry bags are right now. Can anyone post picture of the note.

    I think decission was taken earlier.But the field trial is conducting now.

    Lower denomination notes get easily soiled as they are quickly exchanged.
