If they were not Indian citizens they could not have fought in repeat elections were Election Commission verifies each candidates antecedents. Poor Swami will go to absurd lengths to score one victory in a case against Gandhis. let us see what comes out. Till then celebrations can be put on hold.

Furthermore an Indian citizen cannot have dual citizenship , which is what Madame Sonia is doing, she still has her Italian passport and Rahul has a British Passport, which is not allowed. A few eminent personalities have been given dual citizenship by the UPA government for their achievements and the list of these 200 Non Resident Indians was published then... 

Sonia canont have italian passport as she then could not be issued with an Indian passport. What is the basis for Britain to give Rahul a British passport. You seem to be knowing it but election Commission and present Home Ministry seem not to be knowing it. Pl provide information with proof to them so that they can take action in the matter.

I also read about it in newspaper. It is high profile matter. By birth Rahul is Indian it may be possible that he have one more passport.

first of sll Sonia Gandhi is an Italain and I doubt if she flew in to India without a passport...So she was an Italain when she was married and gave birth to her children. And Rahul Gandhi was born of an Italian mother with an Italian passport , so also Priyanka Vedra..As far as Britain and Italy or other European countries are concerned , they have no issue about dual or multiple citizen ship, which is not the case here and definitely not for those aspiring to rule the country and take over power !

Sonia Gandhi married Rajiv Gandhi in 1968, and Rahul Gandhi was born in 1970. As per the Indian laws, Sonia Gandhi, even by virtue of marriage to an Indian citizen, couldn't have applied for Indian Citizenship  before being a resident in India for atleast 7 years. Naturalistaion would take 12 years. This implies, that Rahul Gandhi was an Italian citizen on his birth.

Since Gandhis have been in power for this many decades it is understandable that no effort was made to unearth her reality.Anyway, we have some people who prefer or simply want to pretend that there is no need to provide any information or even try to find the truth and some may want to know the truth ..You being a citizen can also choose to do one of the two ( of course it is understood what you would do by the very tone of your comments) either try to know the truth or else pretend..

It is technical question. You are writing her about Italian law but what India law said about the child who take birth in India,  whose mother or father is foreigner.
